You will plan and coordinate activities of maintenance associates, prioritize work schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and municipal codes. You will resolve maintenance issues, develop preventive maintenance programs, and collaborate on budget planning and long-term facility improvements.\nEssential Functions\nManage and coordinate daily maintenance activities including installation, repair, and upkeep of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for the refrigerated warehouse.\nPlan and assign work schedules for maintenance associates, ensuring operational productivity and completion of maintenance requirements.\nDevelop, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring conformance with operational standards.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and all municipal and state codes related to mechanical, electrical, and safety requirements.\nResolve maintenance problems and assess future repair needs, coordinating necessary repairs to maintain equipment functionality.\nCollaborate with management to prepare annual maintenance budgets, develop capital expense plans, and support long-term facility and equipment improvements.\nMaintain a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors by enforcing safety policies and procedures.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nMinimum 5 years of warehouse maintenance management experience required.\nHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.\nCompletion of all eight RETA courses required.\nHAZMAT certification required.\nSuccessful completion of the Americold Certified Maintenance Manager program within 6 months of employment required.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nAbility to manage and mentor employees for professional development.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to interpret human resources regulations and safety rules.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.\nKnowledge of SAP preferred.\nKnowledge of ISO standards.\nForklift certification.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold, and precipitation).\nAble to work at heights in excess of 30 ft. (9 meters) and access elevated platforms, catwalks, and roofs.\nAble to work in confined areas.\nAble to climb ladders and stairs.\nAble frequently to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently.\nAble to operate hand and power tools safely.\nAble to meet specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
