Responsibilities include basic troubleshooting and repair of industrial mechanical and electrical systems as needed, as well as providing general maintenance support to ensure equipment reliability and safety.\nEssential Functions\nOperate and perform repairs and adjustments on refrigeration systems.\nMonitor system performance and identify operational issues.\nConduct routine maintenance on warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.\nTroubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective actions.\nTest, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using appropriate instruments.\nMaintain tools and machinery in good condition and ensure proper use.\nMaintain accurate preventive maintenance records and uphold housekeeping standards in the work area.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nAdaptability to flexible shifts including on-call assignments.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nMinimum 2 years of refrigeration or maintenance experience required OR specific HVAC/R certification and/or technical degree.\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nRequired to successfully complete assigned industrial refrigeration or mechanical-electrical courses.\nRequired to complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.\nBasic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry required.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nExperience working in a cold storage environment.\nExperience using testing equipment.\nAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration equipment at the component level.\nExperience using Oracle Computerized Maintenance Management System.\nTechnical certification or degree preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).\nAble to work at heights in excess of 30 ft. (9 meters) and access elevated platforms, catwalks, and roofs.\nAble to work in confined areas.\nAble to climb ladders and stairs.\nAble frequently to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently.\nAble to operate hand and power tools safely.\nAble to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. (Use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia.)\nDepending on specific role, able to pass a physical and respiratory/respirator fit exam.\nAble to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment.\nAble to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.\nAble to wear personal protective equipment required for any/all tasks.\nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
