Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, replacing components, conducting tests and calibrations, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate preventive maintenance records.\nEssential Functions\nPerform operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.\nMonitor system performance and determine when systems are not operating correctly.\nReplace refrigeration system components following safe lockout/tagout procedures and program standards.\nConduct basic pump out and evacuate refrigerant as necessary for valve replacement or repair.\nPerform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.\nTest, calibrate, and evaluate equipment performance and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications and safety standards.\nInspect completed work for compliance to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.\nMaintain accurate preventive maintenance records and ensure work areas are clean and organized.\nWork flexible shifts, if required, including on call.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.\nMinimum 2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience OR minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience plus relevant industry certification such as RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal.\nSuccessful completion of assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses required.\nProven ability to troubleshoot and repair differing control systems including ALTA and Allen Bradley.\nRequired to complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nExperience working in a cold storage environment.\nAmmonia refrigeration maintenance experience.\nCARO and CIRO certification.\nAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose down to the component level on all refrigeration equipment.\nAbility to share knowledge and train less experienced technicians.\nExperience using Oracle Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).\nAble to work at heights in excess of 30 ft. (9 meters) and access elevated platforms, catwalks, and roofs.\nAble to work in confined areas.\nAble to climb ladders and stairs.\nAble frequently to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently.\nAble to operate hand and power tools safely.\nAble to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. (Use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia.)\nDepending on specific role, able to pass a physical and respiratory/respirator fit exam.\nAble to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment.\nAble to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.\nAble to wear personal protective equipment required for any/all tasks.\nThe Company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is $23.25 to $29.25 hourly.
