Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional groups for budget and forecast development, performing variance analyses and financial data reviews, and executing key internal controls. The role also involves preparing and reviewing journal entries, managing special projects, and supporting audits with external auditors.\nEssential Functions\nLead various accounting processes from initiation to completion for assigned areas.\nServe as the main point of contact between corporate headquarters and field accountants for multiple sites.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts.\nAnalyze and format large amounts of financial data to perform variance analyses and problem-solving.\nConduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts.\nExecute key internal controls and support external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.\nPrepare and review monthly journal entries and manage special projects including technical accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nBachelor's degree in Accounting required.\nMinimum of 2 years of accounting experience required.\nThorough understanding of GAAP.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.\nAbility to perform variance analyses and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nMaster's degree in Accounting preferred.\nCPA certification or CPA track preferred. \nExperience with Oracle preferred.\nBig 4 or Tier 2 audit experience preferred.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume and changing environment.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\nAbility to meet deadlines consistently.\nAbility to work collaboratively within a team.\nCommitment to providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.\nRequires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.\nRequires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing.\nMay require travel by automobile and airplane for business.\nMay require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.\nMay require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.\nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
