You will direct and monitor the work of inventory employees, conduct regular inventory counts, and resolve discrepancies to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. Occasional travel by automobile and airplane may be required for business purposes.\nEssential Functions\nAdvise associates on proper care, preservation, handling, storing, maintenance, and shipping of products.\nTrain associates in equipment operations safety and general warehouse operations.\nAssign and direct work of inventory employees and monitor their performance to maximize efficiency.\nConduct regular inventory counts, including quarterly cycle counts, full physical inventories, and customer required counts, and record results.\nReview and resolve inventory discrepancies, such as lost or damaged inventory, and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.\nMaintain and update inventory records and discrepancies within the Warehouse Management System and communicate inventory status to management and customers as needed.\nAnalyze inventory data and recommend improvements to inventory layout and management practices.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nCollege degree plus minimum 3 years of warehousing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\nExperience in quality assurance management or inventory control required.\nMinimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nDemonstrated ability to analyze inventory data and perform complex mathematical calculations for inventory management.\nCold storage experience\nFood industry experience \nProficiency in Microsoft Office, AS400 Warehouse Management Systems, and RF technology.\nForklift license, CPR, and First Aid training are considered an asset.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to work in spaces with 55 inches (1.4 meters) of headroom.\nAble to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures varying from 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius) to minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius), as well as outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).\nAble to climb ladders or step ladders.\nAble to tolerate heights up to 30 ft. (9 meters) and be able to access elevated products from inside safety cage.\nAble to wear personal protective equipment required for working at heights and in cold temperatures.\nAble to stand and/or walk continuously or frequently over an 8-10-12 hour shift. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nAble to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment.\nAble to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.\nDepending on specific role, must be able to lift boxes of varying weights up 80 lbs. (36 kg) and carry product a distance of up to 6 ft.(2 meters) without mechanical assistance.\nAble to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nAble to hear and speak in order to comprehend, respond to, and provide instructions and safety warnings, as well as able to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.\nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
