You will contribute to process engineering and improvement initiatives, collaborate with teams and leaders to address operational challenges, and support inventory control and compliance activities. Occasional travel to other facilities in the surrounding area may be required.\nEssential Functions\nLearn and apply warehouse and facility operations, including dock and front office processes, labor and transportation planning, appointment scheduling, and inventory control.\nSupport process engineering and improvement initiatives such as labor standards and continuous improvement projects.\nAssist shift leadership in coordinating and monitoring warehouse activities for assigned work teams to ensure service and cost objectives are met.\nCollaborate with teams and managers to help resolve work-related issues and participate in safety training.\nParticipate in formal orientations, trainings, and informal meetings with workforce members from various functions.\nAdhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies and all federal, state, and local OSHA regulations.\nTravel to other facilities in the surrounding area as required.\nOther essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.\nWhat Experience and Education You Need\nCurrently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in academic or professional settings, including project management responsibilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.\nAbility to analyze problems and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nProficiency in advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.\nFamiliarity with data collection methods and database query tools.\nKnowledge of SQL.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nCreative and strategic thinking skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.\nRequires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.\nRequires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.\nMay require travel by automobile and airplane for business.\nMay require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.\nMay require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.\nAmericold is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
