Job Description
Position OverviewJoin a growing, client-focused wealth management practice and become an integral part of a collaborative advisory team. This position combines the responsibilities of a licensed Client Service Associate with those of a Paraplanner, providing both operational support and financial planning assistance to lead advisors.
The ideal candidate is licensed, highly organized, service-oriented, and interested in developing deeper expertise in financial planning. This individual will play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience by supporting client relationships, assisting with financial plans, handling service requests, and coordinating follow-up tasks that help clients achieve their financial goals.
This position offers an opportunity to become increasingly involved in the financial planning process, including attending client meetings, preparing planning analyses, and ultimately developing and presenting planning recommendations alongside advisors.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Relationship Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for client service requests and administrative needs.
Build strong relationships with clients and provide responsive, professional service.
Process account servicing requests, e-forms, maintenance transactions, and account updates.
Accept and document verbal authorizations for eligible transactions in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate client money movement requests and support trading activities as permitted by licensing and firm procedures.
Coordinate and track outstanding client service items to completion.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
Advisor Support
Support Lead Advisors in day-to-day business operations and client relationship management.
Prepare meeting materials, agendas, reports, and client review packages.
Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and ensure action items are completed promptly.
Manage post-meeting follow-up activities, including client communications, implementation tasks, and scheduling.
Assist with special projects, seminars, client events, and practice management initiatives.
Financial Planning & Paraplanning
Assist advisors in gathering client data and organizing financial information.
Utilize financial planning software to prepare and update financial plans.
Help analyze client situations involving retirement planning, investments, insurance, cash flow, estate planning, and other wealth management topics.
Prepare planning recommendations and supporting analyses for advisor review.
Learn and become proficient in MoneyGuidePro and other planning tools.
Over time, take on increasing responsibility for financial plan development and presentation support.
Qualifications
Required
Active Series 7 license.
Active Series 66 license (or equivalent qualifications).
State Life, Accident & Health Insurance License.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Professional demeanor and client-first mindset.
Preferred
Previous experience in a wealth management, financial advisory, banking, brokerage, or financial planning environment.
Experience with financial planning software.
Familiarity with MoneyGuidePro strongly preferred.
Experience preparing financial plans or supporting advisors in the planning process.
Knowledge of retirement planning, investments, insurance, and wealth management concepts.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Willing to Train
Candidates with strong industry experience and required licenses who are interested in learning financial planning software and developing paraplanning skills are encouraged to apply.
