This role requires frequent travel, flexibility, and strong teamwork across multiple job locations.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform physical labor including framing, drywall, painting, and concrete work.\nTravel to and work at assigned company properties as directed.\nMeasure, shape, and cut materials to specified dimensions.\nInstall structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, flooring, trim, and hardware.\nSafely erect and dismantle scaffolding and ladders.\nSupport site safety and quality control programs.\nInspect and maintain hand and power tools; report unsafe conditions immediately.\nMaintain clean, organized work areas and dispose of waste properly.\nFollow written and verbal safety instructions.\nRepresent the company professionally with customers, contractors, and coworkers.\nPerform additional duties as needed to support project success.\nQualifications Required\nWillingness and ability to travel frequently and have reliable transportation.\nMinimum of two (2) years of carpentry experience.\nStrong work ethic with integrity, maturity, and teamwork.\nKnowledge of construction materials, methods, and carpentry tools.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings and specifications.\nSkilled in framing, foundations, and finish carpentry.\nBasic math and geometry proficiency.\nAttention to detail and safety awareness.\nEffective communication skills.\nAbility to obtain and maintain required government site clearances (including FRA).\nMust possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license as it is essential to the performing job duties. \nMust pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.\nFlexibility for night and weekend work as needed.\nWorking Conditions\nWork performed primarily at company properties and occasional project sites.\nExposure to moving machinery, heights, outdoor weather, and loud noise.\nMust comply with all company and site safety procedures.\nReasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.\nPhysical Demands\nConstantly:\nStanding, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 20 lbs., pushing/pulling, balancing, and repetitive motions.\nFrequently:\nLifting/carrying 25-50 lbs., reaching above/below shoulders, and climbing.\nOccasionally:\nLifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, crawling, squatting, or sitting.\nNote: This position requires consistent travel to company properties and flexibility to meet project schedules, including occasional nights and weekends.\nRequirements\nMust reside in Connecticut\nBenefits\n Benefits & Career Growth:\n 401(k) with company matching \n Health, Dental, and Vision insurance \n Life insurance \n Paid time off (PTO) \n Retirement plan \n Opportunities for professional development and career growth \n Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:Ameritech Contracting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
