The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team.\nThe hourly pay range for this position starts at $22.00 - $28.00 per hour; this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.\nAdditional $250.00 sign-on bonus!\n\nContinuing Education (CE) support\n\nAnnual Uniform allowance\n\nProfessional License reimbursement\n\nFlexible scheduling - 8 hour shift length (Monday - Saturday)\n\nWho You Are:\n 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant or receptionist\nKnowledge of industry tools and equipment\nPassion for working with animals and their owners\nExperience with proper animal handling and restraint\nUnderstand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills\nObtain accurate and thorough medical histories\nPerform basic exam procedures \nSkilled in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)\nAble to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning\nComfortable with monitoring general anesthesia and surgical assistance preferred\nLaboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); IDEXX in-house laboratory\nExcellent client communication/education\nAdaptable to working well with current doctors and team members\nAnimal Medical Center San Rafael aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care.
