PMR is one of the largest non-ferrous metal merchants, polymer, and processors in the United States. Headquartered in East Hartford, CT, PMR operates state of the art processing facilities in South Windsor, CT, Canastota, NY, and Orangeburg, SC.\nPosition Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and reliability programs for the South Windsor Campus. This includes G & S Metal facility along with the Prime facility. This role ensures that equipment, machinery, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company standards. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of mechanics, and technicians driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and support safe, continuous operations in a heavy industrial/recycling environment.\nResponsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:\nManage and develop the maintenance team, including mechanics, and electricians.\nSchedule, assign, and oversee daily maintenance work orders and projects.\nProvide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for maintenance staff.\nObserve equipment in operation to detect potential problems.\nDefining parts that need to be ordered after troubleshooting is complete.\nMaintain inventories of tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.\nRequisition tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.\nAdjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.\nMaintain repair or maintenance records.\nAbility to read and understand machine drawings, building prints, electrical and plumbing schematics.\nDevelop preventative maintenance program for all equipment & facility related equipment.\nPerform equipment installations as required and defined by Engineering.\nExperience in welding, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and working with process controls.\nMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and facility.\nOperation of forklift and scissor lift as required.\nRequirements\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements:\n5+ years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing, recycling, or heavy industrial operations.\nHands-on knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.\nExperience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).\nStrong leadership and team management abilities.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and environmental compliance standards.\nBudget management and vendor negotiation experience.\nEducation:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred;
