Development\n\nDevelop, test, and optimize polymer formulations for adhesives, plastic extrusion, and other applications.\n\nConduct research and development to innovate new polymer products and improve existing ones.\n\nStay current with advancements in polymer science and technology to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.\n\nProduct Innovation, Research and Development\n\nConducting experiments and analyzing data related to adhesive performance and material properties.\n\nWorking on process optimization for dry lamination and extrusion lamination processes.\n\nManaging technical documentation and reporting findings to the manager.\n\nAssisting with troubleshooting customer complaints and NCRs related to product quality.\n\nStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in chemical engineering.\n\nGenerate ideas for continuous improvement and innovation in product development.\n\nSupplier Collaborations\n\nIdentify, evaluate, and collaborate with potential suppliers of adhesives and polymer materials to ensure quality and performance standards are met.\n\nCollaborate with the procurement team to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.\n\nProvide Assistance and Technical Support\n\nProvide technical support and expertise in polymer chemistry to other departments, including production, quality control, and sales.\n\nEnsure Comprehensive Understanding of Safety and Chemical Hazard Management\n\nReviewing and improving existing safety procedures related to chemical handling, storage, and disposal.\n\nConducting thorough assessments of chemical hazards in our operations and recommending mitigation measures.\n\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to implement safety enhancements and ensure compliance with regulations.\n\nPerforming regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety risks and areas for improvement.\n\nMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the chemical industry.\n\nTroubleshooting for Product or Process Abnormalities \n\nResponsible for identifying and resolving root causes when product or process do not meet standard quality expectations.\n\nDevelop and implement corrective actions to resolve the abnormalities, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards.\n\nRetain and Document Maintenance \n\nMaintain accurate and detailed documentation of research, development, and testing activities.\n\nAnd the task assigned from time to time.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related field. \n\nFresh graduates are encouraged to apply. \n\nCandidates with 1–2 years of relevant industrial or laboratory experience in polymers, adhesives, plastics, extrusion, coating, lamination or related fields will be an advantage. \n\nBasic understanding of chemistry, polymer materials and material properties. \n\nInterest in developing practical knowledge of polymer materials, adhesives, extrusion and lamination processes. \n\nBasic laboratory testing and experimental skills. \n\nGood analytical and problem-solving ability. \n\nAble to collect, organise and interpret technical data. \n\nGood attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work and documentation. \n\nWilling to work hands-on in both laboratory and production environments. \n\nWilling to learn new materials, technologies and manufacturing processes. \n\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal. \n\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while working effectively within a team. \n\nGood command of written and spoken English. \n\nKnowledge of relevant chemical safety procedures and regulatory requirements will be an advantage. \n\nDemonstrated interest in continuous improvement and technical
