What you will do

In this vital role, the Associate, Field Effectiveness will provide hands-on analytical and operational support that helps improve the productivity and effectiveness of the sales force. The role sits at the intersection of data analytics, commercial operations, and field strategy, with a focus on accurate execution, actionable insights, and reliable field enablement.

This position reports to a Senior Manager within Field Excellence and works closely with field leadership, analytics, reporting, incentive compensation, data-management, and cross-system partners.

Responsibilities

Field Data Analysis and Insights

• Analyze data from Veeva CRM, distribution partners, claims, patient services, and other approved commercial sources.

• Assess reach, frequency, HCP engagement, call-plan adherence, account performance, and targeting effectiveness for field sales teams.

• Prepare recurring and ad hoc analyses that translate complex datasets into clear observations and practical actions for business partners.

Operational Execution and Field Enablement

• Support territory alignments, roster updates, targeting cycles, and call-plan execution in accordance with agreed timelines and controls.

• Coordinate operational delivery of field tools and outputs, including Veeva CRM, Next Best Action dashboards, digital companion tools, alerts, and call-plan refreshes.

• Respond to routine field or stakeholder questions, investigate issues, document findings, and escalate risks or dependencies promptly.

Sales Force Size, Structure, and Deployment

• Assist with analyses of field-force size, structure, coverage, deployment, territory design, and workload balance.

• Support evaluations of customer and account potential, targeting logic, call frequency, capacity, and affordable coverage scenarios.

• Prepare data, scenarios, and quality checks required for alignment updates driven by market dynamics and business priorities.

Field Force Effectiveness

• Support call planning, coverage optimization, targeting, valuation, and execution audits across applicable brands and field forces.

• Conduct periodic analyses of workload balance, reach and frequency, engagement quality, and performance trends under the guidance of senior team members.

• Develop clear summaries, charts, and supporting documentation for leadership reviews and cross-functional discussions.

Compliance, Quality, and Process Optimization

• Execute defined quality-control checks and ensure analytics, reports, and field outputs follow approved business rules and applicable engagement-compliance requirements.

• Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, process steps, and validation evidence to support audit readiness, repeatability, and knowledge transfer.

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring work and support implementation of approved improvements.

Project Support and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Track deliverables, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow; maintain clear ownership and timely status updates.

• Maintain project documentation, including timelines, decision logs, issue trackers, validation files, and closure summaries.

• Collaborate effectively with Field Reporting, Incentive Compensation, iDNA/data teams, analytics, cross-system operations, and field stakeholders to deliver agreed priorities.

Basic Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree and 1 - 3 years of experience in sales analytics, sales operations, commercial analytics, and/or field effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the bio/pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

• Hands-on ability to write SQL queries and perform data analysis, data visualization, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Experience with sales-planning or operations platforms used for targeting, alignment, roster management, and call planning.

• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Veeva and with commercial data such as sales, activity, claims, and customer/account data.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify data-quality issues and explain findings clearly.

• Effective written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
