The successful candidate will work across both run/support activities and change/development initiatives, helping ensure applications remain reliable, secure, compliant, and fit for business needs.\nWorking under the guidance of senior engineers, the Associate IS Engineer will investigate and resolve application and integration issues, support application releases and upgrades, participate in incident and problem management, maintain application documentation and configurations, and work with business, infrastructure, platform, security, and vendor teams.\nThe role will also contribute to full-stack development and application enhancements, including front-end development, API integration, back-end development, testing, and deployment where required.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nProvide day-to-day technical and operational support for enterprise applications and associated integrations which could be either of these SaaS, COTS and Custom-built application \nMonitor application health, availability, interfaces, scheduled jobs, and other operational components, and proactively identify potential issues. \nInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, defects, integration failures, data issues, and performance problems. \nPerform technical root-cause analysis and support implementation of corrective and preventive measures for recurring problems. \nSupport incident, problem, request, and change-management processes in accordance with established IT service-management practices. \nWork with business users, application owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, integration teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues. \nSupport application configuration, upgrades, patches, releases, environment changes, and production deployments. \nSupport application integrations with enterprise platforms, databases, APIs, identity and access-management solutions, and cloud services. \nMaintain application documentation including architecture and interface details, configuration information, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and support knowledge articles. \nContribute to application lifecycle activities including technical assessments, upgrades, modernization, remediation, and application retirement where applicable. \nParticipate in periodic operational, security, compliance, and application health activities as required. \nSoftware Development & Enhancement\nContribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of application enhancements and software solutions. \nManage the application SDLC and supporting ITIL Lifecyle completely \nTranslate business and technical requirements into maintainable and user-friendly application functionality. \nDevelop or enhance front-end applications using technologies such as React, Vite, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. \nBuild reusable, responsive, accessible user-interface components following enterprise design standards. \nIntegrate applications with RESTful APIs, enterprise services, databases, and third-party platforms. \nContribute to back-end development using Python and FastAPI, or comparable technologies, under the guidance of senior engineers. \nParticipate in technical design discussions, peer code reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and technical walkthroughs. \nFollow coding standards, secure-development practices, reusable software-design patterns, and established engineering practices. \nDevelop and maintain appropriate unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated tests. \nSupport CI/CD processes for automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployment. \nAnalyse and remediate application vulnerabilities, software dependency issues, and technical debt in collaboration with senior engineers. \nTesting, Release & Operational Readiness\nCreate and execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end tests for application changes and releases. \nSupport user acceptance testing and resolution of defects identified during testing. \nValidate APIs and system integrations using tools such as Postman or equivalent. \nSupport release planning, deployment validation, and post-production verification. \nEnsure appropriate technical and support documentation is available before solutions transition into production. \nWork with support teams to ensure operational readiness for new applications, enhancements, integrations, and releases. \nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nCollaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, application owners, developers, QA professionals, DevOps teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors. \nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives. \nIdentify opportunities to improve application reliability, automate repetitive operational activities, and reduce recurring support issues. \nStay current with emerging technologies and practices across application development, cloud, DevOps, API integration, observability, cybersecurity, automation, and AI. \nBasic Qualifications and Experience\nMaster's / Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. \nExperience may include a combination of application development, application engineering, production/application support, system integration, testing, or IT operations. \nMust-Have Skills\nGood understanding of information systems, application architecture, software-development lifecycle, and application-support lifecycle. \nExperience supporting business or enterprise applications in development, test, and/or production environments. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to investigate application incidents, software defects, integration failures, and data-related issues. \nUnderstanding of incident, problem, change, and release-management processes. \nWorking knowledge of REST APIs and application integrations. \nUnderstanding of relational databases, SQL, and basic data-access concepts. \nHands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and/or TypeScript. \nFamiliarity with React and Vite, Angular, Vue.js, or another modern front-end framework. \nBasic knowledge of Python and FastAPI, or a comparable back-end technology. \nExperience developing, testing, debugging, supporting, and deploying software applications. \nUnderstanding of software-testing methodologies including functional, integration, regression, smoke, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing. \nExperience creating and executing test cases and documenting test results. \nFamiliarity with unit and UI testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools. \nFamiliarity with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools. \nFamiliarity with defect and work-management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps. \nFamiliarity with Git-based version control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews. \nUnderstanding of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies. \nBasic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment. \nUnderstanding of secure coding principles, OWASP guidance, authentication, authorization, dependency management, and application security. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and external vendors. \nGood-to-Have Skills\nExposure to GxP or regulated systems and associated validation/compliance activities. \nExperience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment. \nFamiliarity with IT service-management processes and tools such as ServiceNow. \nExperience working with SaaS and/or vendor-managed enterprise applications. \nUnderstanding of cloud platforms and cloud-hosted application architectures. \nExposure to monitoring, logging, alerting, or application observability tools. \nExperience supporting API-based or middleware-based
