In this vital role you will provide testing support for the QC Night Shift “Team D” (Tuesday-Friday from 10 PM - 8 AM) at Amgen Rhode Island.\nThis person will be responsible for working in the Quality analytical laboratory, using GMPs and GDPs to execute analytical testing. The ideal candidate enjoys tackling challenges and excels at time management with attention to detail.\nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nPerforming analytical testing including time sensitive samples from Manufacturing (Titer/ MMV/ Mycoplasma/ Endotoxin/ Bioburden/ TOC/ Conductivity), Centralized Raw Material testing (compendial testing & microbiology), Environmental Monitoring and Critical Utilities, Sample Receipt and Aliquot.\nEnsures that facilities, equipment, materials, organization, processes, procedures and products comply with safety guidelines, cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) practices and other applicable regulations\nGenerates complete, accurate, and concise laboratory documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebooks\nOperates laboratory equipment and instrumentation\nPerforms review and approval of assays, documents and records\nSupports troubleshooting and problem solving\nAlerts management of quality, compliance, supply and safety risks\nSupports TRAs and deviations, as applicable\nCompletes required assigned training to permit execution of required tasks\nPerforms additional duties as specified by management\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The dedicated professional we seek is detail oriented with these qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma / GED and 2 years of Quality experience OR\nAssociate’s degree and 6 months of Quality experience OR\nBachelor’s degree\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1-3 years of experience in GMP analytical laboratory\nExperience executing analytical /biological testing per Methods and/or Compendia\nExperience with QC analytical systems and/or Quality systems\nSelf-motivated, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time with minimal supervision\nStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)\nUnderstanding and application of principles, concepts, theories and standards of GMP QC analytical laboratories.\nUnderstanding of biopharmaceuticals process and related unit operations\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy\nIndependent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in time-sensitive environments.\nDemonstrated experience in investigations and QC processes\nWhat you can expect of us\nAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
