In this vital role you will build business cases for approval by senior executives, independently develop transformation strategies for key initiatives, and lead initiatives through the transformation process. This will include developing value realization measures, managing the value realization process, and determining the best use of transformation tools and methods to help initiatives achieve intended outcomes.\nCandidate should have experience leading change management for large business transformation programs and initiatives. They will develop and implement complex change management strategies and plans related to changes to organizational structures, processes, and technologies across multiple timeframes and impact. This requires expertise in sponsorship development, change communications, capability development, and behavior change. Must be able to oversee others execution of associated tactics.\nThis role will lead senior leaders and teams through structured problem solving using Disciplined Approach methodology to drive alignment around critical issues, options, and solutions. These problems will often be cross functional in nature. They will be a thought partner for leaders and work across technology, process, and business to support solution implementation.\nWill be accountable for independently delivering the following:\nEffective executive level business cases, including financial analysis\nEstablishing initiative governance with senior leaders\nChange team management and facilitation\nInterdependency identification and management\nEstablish realization measures and targets\nDevelop and manage value realization plan\nAssess and mitigate risks to delivery and value realization\nIdentify impacted populations and expected level of disruption\nFully Remote with onsite presence required for critical workshops and planning sessions.\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain 12 quarter plan for initiatives and programs\nIntegrate key activities and milestones across initiatives\nMaintain measures that track progress and can be used in communications with Executives\nDevelop and manage “key milestone readiness” and “release readiness” processes for all initiatives\nLead the end-to-end organizational change management for transformation programs, integrating change strategy, stakeholder engagement, communications, and training to drive adoption and sustained performance. \nDesign and execute integrated change management plans spanning process, technology, workforce, risk, and communications to drive clarity and coordinated execution. \nDevelop and execute capability frameworks that clarify roles, expectations, and leadership readiness to support successful operating model adoption. \nEstablish governance and oversee delivery of role-based learning and training programs, ensuring alignment to transformation priorities and role requirements. \nManage internal and external partners to deliver scalable, high-quality learning experiences, including oversight of scope, deliverables, quality, and timing. \nEstablish structured communications strategies and engagement rhythms to enable transparency, alignment, and stakeholder commitment throughout the transformation lifecycle. \nMonitor and report capability building, training, and change metrics to inform leadership decisions and continuously improve the change approach. \nStandardize and scale capability enablement processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and sustainability across the organization. \nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The strategic and transformational leader we seek is an experienced business performance professional with the following qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications:\nDoctorate degree and 4 years of Business Transformation, Organizational Change Management, Strategic Planning, or Program Management experience\nOR\nMaster’s degree and 7 years Business Transformation, Organizational Change Management, Strategic Planning, or Program Management experience\nOR\nBachelor’s degree and 9 years of Business Transformation, Organizational Change Management, Strategic Planning, or Program Management experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong transformation skillset\nFinancial acumen\nProject management skills \nStrong organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion\nCollaborate and communicate with initiative leadership teams\nStrong communication (both written and oral), facilitation, and presentation skills \nStrong skill in working independently and to effectively interact with various levels \nDemonstrate the Amgen Values and Leadership Characteristics\nExperience operating in regulated, quality-sensitive environments (biopharma preferred) with understanding of transformation delivery and business impact. \nAbility to integrate learning, knowledge, and change management to drive sustained performance. \nDemonstrated ability to influence a global, matrixed organization and lead enterprise change initiatives. \nExperience designing scalable workforce processes, governance frameworks, and/or capability strategies. \nStrong program/project management capability, including navigating ambiguity, driving alignment, and delivering measurable outcomes. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level messaging and organizational storytelling. \nWhat you can expect of us\nAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
