This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable data engineering solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team and learn from experienced engineers.\nYou will be part of a team specifically focusing on enterprise resource management capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best-in-class technologies, having various enterprise platforms such as Databricks and Mulesoft; enterprise collaboration platforms such as O365, SharePoint Online and MS Teams, as well as vertical-specific platforms in R&D, Operations, Process Development and Commercial/Marketing areas.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nDesign, development, and implementation of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions. \nDeliver for data pipeline projects from development to deployment, managing, timelines, and risks. \nEnsure data quality and integrity through meticulous testing and monitoring. \nLeverage cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks) to build scalable and efficient data solutions. \nWork closely with product team, and key collaborators to understand data requirements. \nEnforce to data engineering industry standards and standards. \nExperience developing in an Agile development environment, and comfortable with Agile terminology and ceremonies. \nFamiliarity with code versioning using GIT and code migration tools. \nFamiliarity with JIRA. \nStay up to date with the latest data technologies and trends \nBasic Qualifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5-9 years of experience \nMastery with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or similar) \nExperience with data engineering platforms like Databricks \nExperience with vibe coding using large language models for production systems \nBroad interest in various Amgen preferred platforms/tools \nEagerness to learn and grow in a data engineering environment \nAbility to work well within a team and communicate effectively \nFunctional Skills:\nMust-Have Skills\nEfficient SQL and maintainable Python. Build end-to-end pipelines using orchestration tools. Apply data modeling, validation, logging, and monitoring.
