Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will be responsible for corporate policies, guidelines, and standards as well as related training programs and regulatory compliance. Provides leadership vital to implement Global EHSS programs. Develops, monitors, and coordinates Company EHSS programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key managers and officials of other organizations and regulatory agencies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. Provides market/customer sensitivity and commits to talent development.\nThe successful candidate will:\nDevelop and manage EHSS risk management and integration into projects and programs, raising awareness and ensuring compliance with applicable safety codes, policies and regulations. \nDemonstrate functional expertise for EHSS programs including but not limited to, hazard communication, risk management, high-risk processes, hazardous gas, and chemical management. \nDrive continuous improvement of EHSS managed programs and work with clients to drive an actively caring safety culture. \nIdentify hazards and apply practical, risk-based solutions to reduce exposure to serious injuries and high-consequence events. \nDevelop and implement risk plans, procedures, and controls; verify that controls are effective and documented. \nPrimary responsibilities include:\nOwn and drive the execution of EHSS risk management ensuring effective implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement across operations. \nImplement and maintain site-level EHSS programs such as but not limited to, hazard communication, risk management, high-risk processes, hazardous gas and chemical management. \nConduct site EHSS risk assessments and maintain the EHSS Risk Registers. \nProvide EHSS input to site projects, including EHSS participation in Process Hazard Analyses and design reviews. \nMaintain accurate records of risk reviews, safety data and provide periodic updates as required. \nCollaborate with Industrial Hygienist, operations and global EHSS Teams to review new products and processes. \nInvestigate and implement continuous improvement processes required to improve EHSS in manufacturing operations \nPartners with clients to implement environmental, health and safety policies, practices, and requirements identified as part of risk assessments. \nDevelop and manage digital systems used for tracking risk assessments. \nWin\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The EHS professional we seek is a collaborative leader with these qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications:\nDoctorate Degree \nOr\nMaster’s Degree and 2 years of Environmental, Safety, Science, Engineering or EHS experience \nOr\nBachelor’s Degree and 4 years of Environmental, Safety, Science, Engineering or EHS experience \nOr\nAssociate’s Degree and 8 years of Environmental, Safety, Science, Engineering or EHS experience \nOr\nHigh School Diploma / GED and 10 years of Environmental, Safety, Science, Engineering or EHS experience \nPreferred Qualifications:\nDegree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related Science discipline. \nExperience performing and leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and implementing EHSS risk management programs in biotech/pharma. \nFamiliarity with typical project documents including process diagrams, P&ID’s, equipment specifications, design drawings etc. \nExperience developing and managing EHSS programs such as hazard communication, risk management, high-risk processes, hazardous gas, and chemical management. Knowledge of relevant OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations. \nApplied knowledge and understanding of EHSS principles and practices, regulatory standards, and requirements in context of business activities. \nProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software systems. \n6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry managing EHSS programs. \nExperience supporting commissioning,
