In this vital role you apply engineering principles to implement the accurate design, qualification and implementation of Primary and Secondary Packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes supporting global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and combination products within the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations (CPO).\nProvide engineering support for manufacturing and packaging operations by troubleshooting technical issues and implementing process improvements related to secondary packaging materials manufacturing process performance.\nPerform distribution testing per American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D4169. Complete testing standards using ASTM, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI), United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), and European Pharmacopoeia (EP).\nServe as a technical resource for equipment, systems, and packaging components evaluations, supporting cross-functional teams and daily operations.\nMonitor process performance, analyze data, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance.\nSupport quality systems activities, including deviations, investigations, validation, equipment qualification, and new product introductions.\nLead testing and evaluation of secondary packaging materials, including protocol development, technical assessments, and supporting documentation.\nBuild, modify, and approve engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Solid Works, or similar software applications.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Process Development, and other stakeholders to support commercial and development activities.\nContribute to engineering projects, system modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives while applying sound scientific and engineering principles.\nModel a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning in alignment with Amgen values.\n\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
