Every day more than 1000 people with 42 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.\nIn this vital role, you will act as for a defined region (JAPAC), with end-to-end accountability for supplier performance, cost optimization and GDP-compliant transportation solutions. You will play a key role in shaping efficient, compliant and data-driven distribution models, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners\nLet’s do this. Let’s change the world.\nIn this vital role you will:\nLead and manage Third-Party Transportation Service Providers (TSPs), with strong ownership of delivery performance, service quality and continuous process improvement.\nDevelop, implement and sustain cost-effective, best-in-class and GDP-compliant transportation solutions, regionally and through Global Distribution Hubs.\nDrive cost improvement initiatives, analyzing freight spend and performance data and negotiating with suppliers while sustaining long-term partnerships.\nApply a data-driven approach to transportation management, leveraging KPIs, performance dashboards and ideally TMS insights to deliver measurable improvements.\nContribute to or lead regional and global transportation projects, including the compliant implementation of new transportation solutions.\nEnsure strong application of GDP processes, including involvement in change controls, deviation management and CAPAs (preferred).\nOversee lane validation, temperature monitoring and cold chain risk mitigation activities.\nSupport audits and inspections and stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory requirements.\nWhat we expect of you\nDoctorate Degree\nMaster’s degree and 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical company or GMP environment OR\nBachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent relevant experience and 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical company or GMP environment OR\nDiploma preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent relevant experience and 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical company or GMP environment\nExperience in transportation or logistics, with proven supplier management responsibility\nStrong knowledge of transportation, supply chain and cold chain operations\nDemonstrated experience improving supplier delivery performance, operational processes and service levels\nProven ability to analyse cost drivers, freight spend and performance data, translating insights into improvement actions\nStrong project management skills across regions and functions\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nSolid GDP / GMP knowledge, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment\nExperience implementing new transportation solutions in a compliant environment\nHands-on experience with Change Controls, Deviation Management and CAPAs\nExperience using TMS, SAP, BW or similar systems\nStrong negotiation skills, able to balance cost optimization with long-term supplier partnerships\nContinuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA is a plus)\nYour selection for this role will be subject to fulfilling the medical requirements of this job scope.
