Human Resources Manager (Strategic HR Business Partner), New Albany Ohio

What you will do

We are seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager who will serve as a trusted advisor to site and functional leaders, helping shape organizational strategy, build leadership capability, and drive workforce effectiveness.

This is not a traditional HR operations role. We are looking for a business-minded HR leader who can influence organizational outcomes, lead through change, and translate business priorities into talent and workforce strategies. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable engaging in strategic discussions with leaders and driving execution to achieve business objectives.

As an individual contributor Human Resources Business Partner, you will partner closely with leaders across the site to enhance organizational effectiveness, build talent pipelines, strengthen engagement, and support the continued growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership and HR Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational, talent, and workforce-related matters.
  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Influence leadership thinking when appropriate to drive stronger business and talent outcomes.
  • Support performance management and talent review processes to ensure leadership continuity.

Organizational Design & Workforce Planning

  • Drive organizational design / optimization strategies in partnership with client leaders and workforce planning initiatives that support current and future business needs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and develop plans to build critical talent pipelines which include community outreach to help build our external talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate with site leaders on workforce and staffing strategies to support organizational growth.

Change Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Guide leaders through ambiguity, organizational shifts, and business evolution.
  • Drive adoption of new processes, structures, and ways of working that improve business outcomes.
  • Develop strategies that strengthen team effectiveness, accountability, and organizational culture.

Talent & Leadership Development

  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders to develop and execute talent strategies.
  • Partner with program leads, liaisons, and key business partners to implement Operations and global HR development programs

Site Culture and Employee Engagement

  • Provide guidance and support for site apprenticeship and workforce development programs.
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas to build engagement and a strong culture in an evolving landscape
  • Partner with client leaders to implement cutting edge strategies to drive innovation, growth, employee engagement, and diversity, inclusion and belonging

HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze workforce and talent metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations that improve organizational performance, leadership effectiveness, and employee engagement.
  • In partnership with the HR Site Head, create and manage new and innovative tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the site HR organization Stay current on leading HR trends and deliver practical and insightful recommendations, including the development and personal growth of our people

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of HR Business Partner experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of HR Business Partner experience

Or

Associate's degree and 8 years of HR Business Partner experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Business Partner experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience within complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven success leading organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Experience influencing business decisions through data, analytics, and workforce insights.
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate both strategic initiatives and day-to-day business needs.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, or highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to influence across all levels of an organization without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen and a genuine curiosity to understand operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, evolving, and high-growth environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and reporting tools.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
