In this vital role you will be responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of a wide variety of office utility and facility equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, analytical labs, and office areas of a Fill Finish Drug Product Plant in our Headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. Must be willing to work any shift including nights and weekends.\nPerform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation/logs of process and utility equipment.\nCarry out operations, maintenance, and repair activities on utility equipment and systems that provide support for Manufacturing, Lab, and various building operations.\nSpecific plant systems include steam, chilled water, compressed air, and heating hot water.\nSpecific Manufacturing and Lab utility systems include clean steam, water for injection (WFI), process cooling water, process air, process gases, HVAC systems, walk-in cold rooms and freezers.\nPerform routine inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, basic equipment repairs, and similar tasks with appropriate guidance and in accordance with procedures.\nComplete quality and safety documentation and finish work in a safe, compliant, and timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules, minimizing impact to production while complying with GMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies and regulations.\nWork efficiently and productively to maximize the number of activities completed, with a focus on maintenance excellence.\nEnsure that work is communicated appropriately to key stakeholders.\nEnsure accurate completion of work order documentation within computerized systems.\nReview maintenance reports, forms, plans, and records.\nIdentify waste, workflow interrupters, and other opportunities for improvement; communicate observations to the appropriate team members.\nIdentify opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development to improve overall team performance.\nProvide facility and manufacturing support as needed this may include working outside of normal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\nSupport the maintenance, operation, and repair of all systems, subsystems, and equipment within the Amgen Fill / Finish facility.\nSupport engineering and operations during installation, testing, operation, and maintenance activities for Fill Finish manufacturing and support equipment.\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a leader with these qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree\nOR\nHigh school/GED + 1 year of utility operations, military experience,\nmaintenance experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nBasic knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, or refrigeration systems.\nWillingness to learn manufacturing, laboratory, and utility equipment such as lyophilizers, autoclaves, fill machines, and cold rooms, HVAC, Water Systems, etc.\nAbility to perform general labor duties as needed and may be asked to work in various physical locations.\nKnowledge and experience within a cGMP or other highly regulated environment.\nAbility to learn and accurately document maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.\nAbility to learn how to read and interpret technical documents such as equipment manuals, drawings, and P&IDs.\nAbility to follow direction, ask questions when needed, and complete assigned tasks safely and accurately.\nAbility to effectively communicate issues and status of tasks in a timely manner both orally and written\nAbility to interact constructively with peers/teams.\nWhat you can expect of us\nAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
