As a Manager, Forecasting at Amgen India, you will play a key role in delivering actionable, data-driven insights to support decision-making across therapeutic areas. This role supports global pipeline assets and requires flexibility in collaborating across geographies-including partners in the U.S., Portugal, and internal contract teams in India. The ideal candidate will possess strong pharmaceutical forecasting and analytics experience, high data fluency, and strong written & verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders groups & geographies.\nThis role reports to the Senior Manager of Forecasting and operates within the broader framework of Business Analytics & Insights (BAI).\nThis role is for Amgen’s India Hyderabad Office. You will work on-site a minimum of 4 days a week.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Forecast Development:Build, maintain, and enhance Excel-based forecast models (patient, sales, Rx-based, revenue).\nSupport pipeline forecasts across various BUs (final therapeutic area assignment TBD).\nAssist in development of long-range plans and annual operating plans.\n\nAnalytics and Insight Generation:Interpret large datasets from internal systems, syndicated sources, and custom analytics.\nApply business judgment founded on knowledge of pharma/biotech industry and Amgen products / business to integrate market dynamics, competitor insights, and assumptions into forecasts and communicate forecast results & rationale effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders.\n\nStakeholder and Cross Functional Team Collaboration:Collaborate with forecasting teams in the U.S., India and Portugal to align on methodology and deliverables.\nPartner with internal India contract workers to drive standardization and execution of model builds.\nClosely work with cross functional teams representing Commercial, Finance, Medical, Value & Access, Analytics, Insights, and CI\nDemonstrate & model Amgen value of being respectful to others and to a diverse working environment.\n\nProcess & Capability Enablement:Contribute to building new forecasting capabilities in Amgen India.\nHelp develop reusable tools, templates, and forecasting frameworks.\n\n Technology & Innovation:Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, agentic research platforms) to enhance speed and depth of insights.\nStay up to date with forecasting best practices, including probabilistic modeling, digital workflows and AI tools & capabilities.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and 8 to 13 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical forecasting or commercial analytics\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExpertise in patient-based and demand-based forecasting\nHigh proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Python/SQL is a plus\nFamiliarity with syndicated pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Evaluate, internal CRM systems)\nExperience using generative AI tools to aid insight generation or automate workflows\nStrong collaboration skills, including experience working in cross-cultural virtual teams\nProject management skills & ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment\nAt Amgen, our mission is to serve patients.
