In this vital role you will lead the Planning and Scheduling function supporting Amgen's capital project portfolio. This role provides organizational leadership for a team of planners and schedulers while establishing standardized planning processes, portfolio governance, and scheduling best practices across multiple capital programs. The leader partners with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, CQV, Finance, Manufacturing, Site Operations, and Regulatory organizations to ensure projects are planned, executed, and reported consistently throughout the project lifecycle. In addition to maintaining technical excellence in project scheduling, the leader is responsible for developing talent, managing organizational resources, driving standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, implementing digital planning solutions, and providing portfolio-level analytics that support executive decision making.\nLead the Planning and Scheduling organization and portfolio.\nSupporting Amgen's capital project portfolio, ensuring standardized planning practices, portfolio governance, and successful execution across multiple concurrent capital projects.\nExecutive and network reporting performance dashboards within capital project portfolio.\nSupport the development of integrative master schedules from planning to operational readiness through licensure.\nEstablish staffing strategies and optimize resource allocation across multiple projects.\nChampion digital planning solutions including Primavera P6, Planisware, AI-enabled planning tools, and reporting platforms.\nPartner closely with Project Managers and Project Controls teams to support successful project delivery.\nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all organizational levels.\nDevelop standard methodology for earned value management and risk management.\nWork closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules.\nManage the Planning and Scheduling organization supporting the capital portfolio.\nLead planning governance across all assigned projects.\nMentor planners and project controls professionals.\nManage contractor scheduling requirements and performance.\nCoordinate with all organizational subject matter experts to ensure accurate reporting.\nCollate project-level schedule reporting to produce program-level schedule reporting.\nCoordinate the alignment of the project-level schedules with the Master Program Schedule\nProvide data required for Earned Value Management\nPerform impact analyses and schedule updates as required.\nOversee and proactively provides guidance to project-level schedule consultants.\nPerform schedule forecasting and predictability.\nIncorporate schedule Change Orders in coordination with Program Change Management\nLead implementation of schedule AI-enabled planning tools.\nDrive digital transformation initiatives within Project Controls.\nDevelop data-driven planning dashboards using Power BI and Planisware.\nPromote automation and predictive scheduling methodologies.\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
