Amgen is seeking a QA Lead - Salesforce & Copado Robotic Testing to lead quality engineering and testing capabilities for enterprise Salesforce platforms, including OneCRM and its integrated ecosystem. This role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, reliable, and compliant application releases through a combination of manual, functional, integration, regression, and automated testing using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT).\nThe QA Lead will own the end-to-end testing strategy and execution, lead cross-functional QA teams, and partner closely with business, product, engineering, architecture, and production support teams to ensure releases meet functional, technical, and quality expectations while supporting Amgen’s mission to serve patients.\nKey Responsibilities\nQA & Testing Leadership\nLead end-to-end QA activities for Salesforce applications and their integrated ecosystem, ensuring high-quality releases with minimal production defects.\nDefine and drive the overall test strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting across releases.\nLead testing activities across functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing phases.\nEnsure appropriate test coverage based on business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, technical designs, and integration specifications.\nServe as the primary QA point of contact for product, business, engineering, and technology stakeholders.\nManual & Functional Testing\nLead comprehensive manual testing of Salesforce applications, including business processes, workflows, validations, security, profiles, permission sets, and user experience.\nDesign, review, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and expected results.\nEnsure adequate coverage of positive, negative, boundary, exception, and end-to-end business scenarios.\nValidate complex Salesforce business processes spanning multiple objects, personas, applications, and integrations.\nDrive exploratory and risk-based testing for business-critical capabilities.\nCopado Robotic Testing & Test Automation\nLead adoption and implementation of Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for Salesforce test automation.\nDesign and maintain reusable, scalable, and maintainable automated test suites using Copado Robotic Testing.\nIdentify appropriate manual regression scenarios for automation based on business criticality, repeatability, and ROI.\nEstablish and continuously improve the automated regression test suite to increase coverage and reduce manual testing effort.\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD and release pipelines wherever applicable.\nMonitor automation execution results, investigate failures, and ensure timely maintenance of automated test scripts.\nDefine standards and best practices for Copado Robotic Testing development, execution, and maintenance.\nIntegration & End-to-End Testing\nLead end-to-end testing across Salesforce and integrated enterprise platforms, including MuleSoft APIs, Databricks, and other upstream/downstream applications.\nValidate API integrations, data transformations, interface processing, error handling, and data reconciliation.\nCoordinate testing dependencies across multiple application and technology teams.\nEnsure critical business journeys are validated across the complete application and integration landscape.\nDefect Management & Quality Governance\nEstablish and enforce standardized defect management, triage, prioritization, and closure processes.\nLead defect triage sessions with business, development, and product teams.\nEnsure defects are appropriately categorized based on severity, priority, business impact, and release risk.\nTrack defect trends, leakage, reopen rates, and recurring quality issues.\nDrive root cause analysis for escaped production defects and implement preventive actions.\nEstablish appropriate quality gates and release-readiness criteria before production deployment.\nTest Planning & Release Management\nDevelop comprehensive test plans and testing schedules aligned with sprint and release timelines.\nEstimate QA effort and determine appropriate testing capacity based on release scope and complexity.\nCoordinate QA activities across Agile sprints, major releases, hotfixes, patches, and production maintenance releases.\nAssess testing risks and proactively communicate potential impacts to release timelines.\nProvide clear QA sign-off and release-readiness recommendations based on test results, open defects, and residual risks.\nSupport post-production validation and hypercare testing following major releases.\nQuality Engineering & Continuous Improvement\nDrive the transition from traditional testing toward a quality engineering and automation-first approach.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual testing through automation.\nImprove test efficiency through reusable test assets, automation, standardized processes, and optimized test data management.\nEstablish QA standards, templates, metrics, and best practices across the delivery organization.\nLeverage defect and production incident trends to continuously strengthen regression coverage.\nPromote shift-left testing, enabling early QA involvement during requirements, refinement, and solution-design activities.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Scrum Masters, and Production Support teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nParticipate in requirements and user-story refinement to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and complete.\nCollaborate with upstream and downstream application teams to coordinate integration and end-to-end testing.\nAct as the bridge between business and technology teams for quality-related discussions.\nCommunicate testing progress, risks, defects, dependencies, and release readiness to leadership and key stakeholders.\nTeam Leadership\nLead and mentor onshore/offshore QA and test automation teams.\nDrive appropriate allocation of QA resources based on release priorities and workload.\nProvide technical and functional guidance to manual and automation testers.\nEstablish standards for test documentation, traceability, automation, and defect management.\nDrive knowledge sharing, cross-skilling, and capability development within the QA team.\nMentor team members on Salesforce testing, Copado Robotic Testing, quality engineering, and testing best practices.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.\n9-13 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.\nSignificant experience leading QA activities for large-scale enterprise applications and complex releases.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong experience in Salesforce functional and manual testing.\nHands-on experience with Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for Salesforce test automation.\nStrong understanding of the Salesforce platform, preferably including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Health Cloud.\nExperience developing and maintaining automated regression test suites.\nExperience testing Salesforce integrations, MuleSoft APIs, REST/SOAP services, and data interfaces.\nExperience with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks is preferred.\nExperience with end-to-end, integration, regression, API, and data validation testing.\nStrong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and CI/CD practices.\nFamiliarity with Copado, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise delivery and ticketing platforms.\nExperience with test management and defect tracking tools.\nStrong understanding of test automation strategy, quality gates, and release-readiness criteria.\nExperience working in regulated environments, preferably pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences.\nUnderstanding of GxP, compliance, data privacy, and validation requirements is preferred.\nProven experience managing
