While responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and applying best practices for the environment, the incumbent Sr Associate will work on Storage & Backup related technologies that will be introduced into the Amgen environment containing NetApp, Isilon, Rubrik & Netbackup Technologies.\nPlease note, this is an on-site role based in Hyderabad.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nSupport the Operations lead in the support, delivery, and continuous improvement of the technology services\nEnsures services are aligned with the key principles of service ownership which includes - meeting the needs of the business, scalability, compliance, reliability, resilience & security\nAssist Service Owner and Architect in detailed resource planning for vendors and IT teams based on the prioritized project list\nPerform necessary storage & backup infrastructure maintenance in accordance with Dell, NetApp & Rubrik best practices and Company Change Management policies\nContribute to SOP & Runbook Design, Development, and ongoing updates\nContribute to ongoing recommendations and best practices in Business Continuity, Migration, High Availability, Backup, Recovery, and Archiving\nInvestigate and resolve storage & backup related technical issues. Participate in rotational 24x7 On-Call Support at the SME level and assist/lead Root Cause Analysis reviews\nHandling and monitor data replication, using Dell, NetApp & Rubrik replication technologies within strong understanding of RPO/RTO compliance parameters\nHelp build AI-agentic solutions and flows to automate manual storage and backup tasks using skills on Powershell, Python, REST APIs and preferably over ServiceNow workflows\nWork directly with users to resolve support issues within product team responsibilities\nBasic Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree and 3/3+ years of Information Systems ie. Storage, Backup and/or Java Hosting/Web Hosting/Linux administration & one or more of Ansible, Python, Bash scripting or\nBachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Information Systems ie. Storage/Backup and/or Java Hosting/Web Hosting/Linux administration & one or more of Ansible, Python, Bash scripting, or\nPreferred Domain-specific technical Skills & Experience:\n5+ years’ experience with NetApp, DellEMC Isilon and DR/BCM replication technologies\n3+ years’ experience in on-prem storage, backup and archiving solutions, and off-premise public cloud backup, archiving, and DR solutions (preferably AWS else Azure)\n2-3 years’ experience handling backup/data protection technologies, preferably Rubrik and its replication cluster setup\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with installing and managing NetApp and DELL Isilon with local and remote replication using SyncIQ, Snapmirror & Snapvault\nProficiency in Provisioning, Configuring and Administering zero RPO and low RTO for enterprise mission critical applications\nGood understanding of S3 protocol, buckets, objects, versioning, lifecycle and object-lock/WORM concepts. \nBasic experience in operating access management, ILM policies, including copy placement, retention, replication, and erasure codes\nFamiliarity with StorageGRID networking: admin/grid/client networks, DNS, load balancers, certificates, firewall ports, and endpoint configurations\nAbility to troubleshoot with appropriate storage management tools complex database performance and trend analyzing issues\nGood scripting skills with data-driven problem solving and analytical skills\nProfessional Certifications (preferred):\nNCDA (NetApp Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP)\nRubrik Certified System Administrator (RCSA)\nPreferred Infrastructure Skills and operations experience:\nDemonstrated experience as part of a high-performance team, skilled in persuasion, and negotiation of critical issues, along with a background of solid systems administration processes and procedures \nCollaborate with Infrastructure teams and Business Units to build strong solutions that meet the requirements Demonstrated experience with Windows/UNIX/Linux Operating systems \nITIL experience and managing regulated systems within Life Sciences sector is a plus\nWorking knowledge of Application Server Clustering and HA configurations\nGood grasp of TCP/IP networking fundamentals\nSoft Skills:\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nProblem-solving and critical thinking capabilities\nTeam collaboration and knowledge sharing\nAdaptability to changing priorities and technologies\nAbility to follow procedures accurately.\nWillingness to learn and grow.\nShift Information:\nThis position is an on-site role and may require working during later hours to align with business hours.
