Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career.\nSenior Manager, Warehouse Support\nRole Overview\nHybrid - 3/4 days onsite weekly\nReporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Senior Manager, Warehouse Support is a key leadership role at Amgen Dun Laoghaire (ADL), responsible for reliable, compliant and efficient warehouse support for site-based drug product commercial manufacturing operations.\nThe role leads the relationship, capability and performance management of external warehouse providers and oversees warehouse “Run The Business” (RTB) planning activities across inbound, shipping, warehouse and dispensary activities. It also develops forward-looking capacity plans aligned with ADL requirements and the supply network strategy.\nAt the L6 level, the role delivers impact through others by setting clear expectations, developing leaders and teams, and building strong partnerships. The role embeds safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement in daily warehouse support, in alignment with Amgen’s values.\nKey Responsibilities\nExternal Warehouse Relationship, Capability & Performance Management\nOwn the working relationship with external warehouse providers and serve as the primary Supply Chain point of contact for service, operational and business matters.\nLead regular governance and performance reviews, using agreed service, quality, safety, inventory accuracy and cost measures to assess performance and agree improvement actions.\nSet clear expectations for provider capability, staffing, training, systems, processes and business continuity in line with ADL requirements and applicable GMP standards.\nWork with provider leaders to address performance gaps, manage escalations and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.\nBuild a collaborative partnership that supports changing site demand, reliable material availability and consistent service to manufacturing and patients.\nWarehouse RTB Planning\nLead “Run the Business” (RTB) planning activities for inbound materials, shipping, warehouse operations and dispensary scheduling to support manufacturing requirements.\nCoordinate short- and medium-term plans with Procurement, Detailed Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality and external warehouse partners.\nBalance inbound receipts, put-away, picking, staging, shipping and dispensary workloads against available people, equipment, dock time and storage capacity.\nMonitor schedule adherence and constraints, resolve conflicts, and communicate risks, priorities and recovery actions to affected teams.\nUse reliable planning data and clear operating routines to maintain material availability, execution discipline and service performance.\nWarehouse Capacity Planning & Network Strategy Alignment\nForecast future warehouse requirements using manufacturing plans, inventory profiles, inbound and outbound volumes, throughput, storage needs and service expectations.\nMaintain a forward-looking view of capacity across site and external warehouse operations, including space, labor, equipment, transport and supporting processes.\nIdentify capacity gaps, constraints and risks early, and develop practical scenarios and recommendations to address forecast demand.\nAlign ADL capacity assumptions and plans with the wider supply network capacity strategy and communicate impacts to relevant site and network stakeholders.\nReview actual utilization and forecast accuracy regularly, updating plans as demand, inventory or operating assumptions change.\nCompliance Team Leadership\nProvide direction, coaching and performance oversight to the Compliance Team Lead, setting clear priorities and expectations for the team’s work.\nEnsure warehouse compliance activities, routine checks, documentation and training requirements are planned, completed and escalated when needed.\nBuild team capability in GMP requirements, data integrity, documentation practices, deviation handling and inspection readiness.\nReview compliance trends and recurring issues with the team and partner functions, ensuring actions address underlying causes and are sustained.\nPromote a proactive quality culture in which employees and external partners raise concerns promptly and follow procedures consistently.\nWarehouse Operations & Continuous Improvement\nPartner with internal Warehouse and Dispensary teams to maintain safe, accurate and efficient material receipt, storage, picking, staging and dispatch.\nAlign warehouse operating plans with production schedules, inventory policies and supply priorities, supporting timely material availability.\nUse operational data and feedback to improve service, inventory accuracy, productivity and material flow across site and external warehouse activities.\nSupport consistent standard work, clear escalation routes and effective handoffs between warehouse, dispensary, shipping and manufacturing teams.\nPromote safe behaviors and ensure warehouse activities are performed in accordance with site procedures and applicable environmental, health and safety requirements.\nInspection Readiness, Compliance & Quality\nEnsure warehouse and supply chain support activities maintain GMP compliance and ongoing inspection readiness.\nPartner with Quality to meet regulatory requirements and site expectations, including HPRA, FDA and global audit requirements.\nOversee timely and effective management of deviations, change controls, CAPAs, documentation and training related to warehouse operations.\nEmbed right-first-time execution, accurate records and a strong quality mindset across internal teams and external warehouse partners.\nEnsure process and operational changes are assessed, approved, communicated and sustained in a compliant manner.\nRisk Management & Supply Continuity\nIdentify and mitigate risks affecting warehouse capacity, logistics execution, inventory control, material availability and patient supply.\nMaintain effective contingency and business continuity plans with site teams and external warehouse providers.\nLead escalation and resolution of operational issues, coordinating clear ownership, communication and recovery actions.\nDrive a proactive, solutions-oriented culture focused on operational reliability and continuity of supply.\nTeam Leadership & Capability Building\nLead, coach and develop direct reports and cross-functional partners supporting warehouse manufacturing, or related experience OR\nBachelor’s degree and 6+ years of supply chain, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or related experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience managing external warehouse or logistics providers in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment\nStrong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, material flow and RTB scheduling\nExperience supporting drug product commercial manufacturing operations\nKnowledge of inspection readiness, regulatory expectations (HPRA, FDA) and quality systems\nExperience in warehouse capacity planning, demand forecasting and alignment with supply network strategy\nDemonstrated people leadership, coaching and performance management skills\nStrong stakeholder engagement and
