This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nPossesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code.\n\nLead day to day operations and maintenance of Amgen’s R&D Veeva Vaults and hosted applications.\n\nStay updated with the latest trends, advancements and standard process for Veeva Vault Platform ecosystem.\n\nDesign, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, SDKs, interfaces, and enhancements.\n\nAnalyze and understand the functional & technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems, translate them into software architecture and design specifications.\n\nOperate CI/CD and config-as-code pipelines, secrets management, environment provisioning/ monitoring.\n\nCreates and runs API/UI smoke and regression packs, embeds security scans and produces automated CSV evidence\n\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time.\n\nMaintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.\n\nWork on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.\n\nStay up to date on Veeva Vault Features, new releases and best practices around Veeva Platform Governance.\n\nBasic Qualifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline\n\n5-9 years of work experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field\n\nExperience in the global pharmaceutical industry preferred\n\nFunctional Skills (Must Have):\nExperience with Veeva Vault Platform and Products, including Veeva configuration settings and custom builds.\n\nStrong knowledge of information systems and network technologies.\n\nExperience in building configured and custom solutions on Veeva Vault Platform.\n\nExperience in managing systems, implementing and validating projects in GxP regulated environments.\n\nExtensive expertise in SDLC, including requirements, design, testing, data analysis, creating and managing change controls.\n\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript etc.\n\nStrong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.\n\nExperience with version control systems such as Git.\n\nGood-to-Have Skills:\nFamiliarity with relational databases (such as MySQL, SQL server, PostgreSQL etc.)\n\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or other programming languages\n\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.\n\nExperience with ETL Tools (Informatica, Databricks).\n\nExperience with API integrations such as MuleSoft.\n\nSolid understanding & Proficiency in writing SQL queries.\n\nHands on experience on reporting tools such as Tableau, Spotfire & Power BI.\n\nProfessional Certifications:\nVeeva Vault Platform Administrator or Equivalent Vault Certification (Mandatory)\n\nSAFe for Teams (Preferred)\n\nSoft Skills:\nExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively with global, virtual teams.\n\nTeam-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals.\n\nStrong presentation and public speaking skills.\n\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT\nAmgen is an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider you without regard to your race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.\nWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
