In this vital role you will be part of the Amgen External Planning (AXP) Team, which is responsible for planning execution within the external manufacturing network.\nThe Senior Associate Planner reports to the Manager of Supply Planning at the Amgen India, Hyderabad site. In this role, the Senior Associate Planner is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of external supply plans by managing system transactions, monitoring execution performance, and maintaining data integrity across planning systems. This role acts as a critical link between planning, CMO operations, and system data accuracy to ensure reliable supply delivery.\nAXP is a critical component of Amgen’s Global Supply Chain, responsible for enabling reliable, efficient, and agile planning and delivery operations for Amgen’s CMO-sourced products. The Senior Associate Planner, based at Amgen’s Hyderabad site, will be a key member of this team and a foundational contributor to the External Planning work center, supporting the business performance and continuous improvement of planning operations.\nThis role requires strong planning skills, SAP expertise, data analysis, attention to detail, excellent follow-up and coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a regulated GMP environment.\nResponsibilities:\nPlanning Data Integrity and Maintenance\nEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and alignment across planning systems, maintaining a single source of truth\nRoutine system data monitoring and analysis to sustain high data quality across SAP and RapidResponse (RR)\n\nAnalyze gaps between actual execution and planning parameters, recommending adjustments as needed\n\nMonitor system alerts and generate data discrepancy reports to identify and drive resolution of data issues\n\nProactively engage and follow up with planners and stakeholders to correct data inaccuracies\n\nCoordinate master data setup and updates in partnership with planners and master data teams\nEnsure timely creation of new material masters and alignment of planning parameters\n\nSupport master data lifecycle activities (e.g., phase-in/out, obsolescence) through coordination and tracking\n\nEnsure all data and system transactions are compliant and accurate\n\nExecution Monitoring & Operational Support\nReconcile inventory across CMO reports and SAP, report discrepancies\n\nProactively monitor inventory health (e.g. aging, expiry risk), coordinate with planners for risk mitigations\n\nMonitor planning system signals (e.g. negative balance, expiry, deviation), provide visibility to planners to resolve alerts/errors\n\nMonitor critical milestones (e.g., disposition, deviation closure, shipments) and escalate potential delays\n\nEscalate compliance, quality, and safety risks in a timely manner\n\nEnsure accurate reconciliation and proper documentation of batch records and shipping documents in accordance with procedures\n\nSystem (SAP & RapidResponse) Execution & Transaction Management\nExecute system transactions to support planning operation activities, including:\nPurchase order lifecycle execution (creation, issuance, confirmation tracking, changes, closure)\n\nEstablish and manage shipping lanes\n\nCoordinate inbound and outbound shipment transactions (GR, PGI, delivery notes)\n\nSupport product/material disposition and batch record reconciliation\n\nEnsure timely and accurate execution of transactions in compliance with GMP/GDP requirements\n\nMonthly Planning Cycle\nSupport analysis of demand and forecast changes, provide execution-level insights\n\nAnalyze actual vs. planned supply performance (e.g., throughput) to identify gaps\n\nMonitor and track lead-time deviations, highlighting trends and potential risks to supply reliability\n\nKey Skills & Competencies\nOperational execution excellence\n\nExcellent coordination and communication skills\n\nData accuracy and systems discipline\n\nUnderstanding of supply chain flows and manufacturing processes\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\n\nWin\nWhat we expect of you\nWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a leader with these qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Manufacturing within a regulated industry\n\nOr\n\nBachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Manufacturing within a regulated industry\n\nOr\n\nAssociate’s degree and 7-9 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Manufacturing within a regulated industry\n\nIn addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 2 years’ experience working in teams, projects, and programs.
