Supply Chain Manager - Demand Planning (Bogotá)

What you will do

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Demand Planning / Integrated Business Planning

  • Lead the end-to-end demand planning process for Colombia based on integrated business planning principles, ensuring product availability, compliant execution, appropriate inventory positioning, and proactive mitigation of supply and obsolescence risks.
  • Lead Colombia Demand Reviews with commercial leadership and own Supply Chain inputs to the local IBP process, ensuring decision-ready recommendations, documented actions, clear ownership, and timely escalation of material risks and trade-offs.
  • Own the demand planning process and lead consensus forecast definition by integrating statistical forecasting, historical performance, customer-level insights, commercial assumptions, tender opportunities, launches, market access developments, and scenario analyses.
  • Partner with Commercial, Finance, Market Access to challenge assumptions, identify forecast drivers and risks, and translate agreed business decisions into the operational plan.

Inventory & Variation Management

  • Develop demand, inventory, and supply scenarios; and risk-mitigation actions so that “every-patient every-time” supply is ensured; and drive end-to-end execution of agreed decisions across local, regional, global, and manufacturing-site stakeholders.
  • Lead Colombia’s variation and launch implementation governance, ensuring early assessment of regulatory approvals, packaging and BOM readiness, IDP and component constraints, implementation timing, bridge-inventory needs, and potential compliance, supply, or scrap exposure.

Supply Planning

  • Influence and negotiate with Manufacturing Sites, Regional Operations Leads, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Lifecycle Management, and other global stakeholders to secure timely, compliant execution of Colombia’s supply requirements and escalate unresolved risks appropriately.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive planning excellence through sound master-data governance, KPI performance management, decision-oriented analyses, and continuous-improvement initiatives across forecasting, inventory, supply planning, and lifecycle processes.
  • Act as the planning subject-matter expert for Colombia and provide leadership, coaching, and functional guidance to relevant stakeholders and business partners.

Outputs

  • Reliable product availability and inventory levels aligned with demand requirements, service objectives, shelf-life constraints, and financial targets.
  • Timely, unbiased, and consensus-based demand forecasts and planning assumptions.
  • Effective local IBP governance, with clear decisions, actions, ownership, and risk escalation.
  • On-time and compliant implementation of launches and regulatory variations.
  • Proactive mitigation of supply interruptions, excess inventory, and scrap exposure.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, IBP/S&OP, inventory management, or end-to-end supply chain planning within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another highly regulated healthcare industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing product launches, regulatory variations, packaging or labeling changes, and their supply-chain implications.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate with cross-functional, regional, global, and manufacturing-site stakeholders at Manager/Senior Manager level.
  • Experience developing scenarios and recommendations involving supply continuity, inventory, expiry, compliance, and scrap risk.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and planning tools; Kinaxis and Anaplan experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GDP principles, regulatory lifecycle management, import processes, and cold-chain or controlled distribution environments.
  • APICS/ASCM, IBF, Lean Six Sigma, or project-management certification.
  • Experience working with global manufacturing sites and complex international supply networks.
  • Strategic and end-to-end supply chain thinking.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate market dynamics into operational decisions.
  • Ability to lead through influence across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and scenario-planning capabilities.
  • High ownership, sound judgment, and ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects prioritizing as required, to successfully manage workload to timelines.
