This is a growth role for someone building their instructional design craft - you'll work with increasing autonomy on defined pieces of the design process, while more complex or ambiguous design decisions are made together with a senior designer.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the design and development of learning programmes, materials, and online courses in accordance with AMI's established design models and quality frameworks, for instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and self-directed formats.\n\nContribute to the design of engaging learning experiences under the direction of a Senior Learning Designer or the Learning Design Lead.\n\nSupport learning needs analysis activities - gathering input, drafting design input notes, and helping surface target audience and context detail.\n\nDraft and adapt sections of learning materials and assessments in line with brand and quality standards, incorporating feedback from senior reviewers.\n\nSupport testing and quality assurance of training materials, flagging issues and helping action revisions.\n\nAssist in analysing learner and programme data under guidance, to help inform adjustments during implementation.\n\nCollaborate with subject matter experts, project teams, and other Learning Designers on defined pieces of larger design projects.\n\nRequirements\nEducation, Experience, Skills & Attributes\n1-2 years of experience in instructional or learning design, or a closely related field (e.g. education, training delivery, content development).\n\nFoundational understanding of adult learning principles and behaviour change strategies, with a genuine interest in developing this further.\n\nGrowing ability to design learning journeys across formats (self-directed, instructor-led, virtual), with support from senior designers on more complex design decisions.\n\nExposure to or interest in designing for low-data environments and learners with limited internet access, particularly within MSME contexts, is an advantage.\n\nGood self-management and organisation skills - able to work within deadlines, communicate proactively, and collaborate across teams with moderate supervision.\n\nComfortable using Google Workspace, project management tools (e.g. Monday.com), and remote collaboration platforms (e.g. Slack, Zoom).\n\nDeveloping data literacy - able to interpret learning data with guidance and support adjustments to instructional strategies.\n\nAttention to detail in producing learning materials, assessments, and content that align with brand standards.\n\nAn open, feedback-seeking, growth mindset and eagerness to grow into greater design autonomy over time.\n\nBenefits\nWhy join us\nA high-impact, diverse and ambitious team with common values: \nBe the best:We work really hard, are proud of what we do, and love delighting our clients with quality.\n\nOwn it: We step up to the task, never pass the buck and hold ourselves accountable for delivering results.\n\nPush the limits:We ask why, embrace failure and try new things.
