Payroll Administrator

Position Summary

The Payroll Administrator will support the payroll function for the Courant Institute School, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for faculty, researchers, adjuncts, and students. Working collaboratively alongside a peer Payroll Administrator, this role plays a key part in supporting the Associate Director of Fiscal Affairs in managing daily operations, resolving complex payroll inquiries, and optimizing payroll tracking systems within Workday.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related fieldRequired Experience: 2+ years related payroll experience including detailed reconciliation experiencePreferred Experience: 2+ years Prior Workday & UDW Salary Reporting experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent analytical, problem solving, knowledge of payroll principles and best practices. Advanced working knowledge of Excel. General knowledge of time and attendance as it relates to payroll processing. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Excel, Google products and NYU systems (UDW+, PeopleSync, etc.). Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, creative solutions. Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
