You Will Do\nEssential Duties:\nSupervise approximately six (6) AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff\nEvaluate staff performance and provide applicable coaching and training\nTrack and monitor Contractor staff performance, including implementing corrective measures as needed\nAssess and regularly monitor counseling staff progress toward achieving and maintaining a valid AOD certification\nSupervise the orientation and intake processes of all participants newly assigned to programming\nApprove and monitor SUD relapse prevention/CBI action plan development\nTrack all participants (names, counselor assignments, readiness to change, progress on plans, program stage, etc.)\nProvide training, oversight, and monitoring of all ARMS documentation to ensure compliance with the agreement\nProvide training to AOD Counseling staff, including OMCP Mentors\nCoordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors assigned to the program\nProvide support and resources to ensure OMCP Mentors complete the work-experience portion of certification, including practice of all twelve Core Functions\nProvide verification of internship hours for AOD Counseling staff and OMCP Mentors\nVerify and record each OMCP Mentor’s monthly internship hours by the 5th of each month using the CDCR OMCP Verification of Internship Hours form in ARMS\nWork collaboratively with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and CDCR-contracted staff\nOther duties as assigned. \nWhat You Will Bring\nEducation and Experience:\nRequired: Certified as an AOD Counselor with an organization approved by DHCSandTwo (2) years of experience as a certified AOD counselor\nPreferred: NONE\nCertifications or Licenses:\nRequired:\nCurrent AOD Certification with organization recognized by the DHCS OR a Licensed professional as required by contract. \nPreferred: NONE\nSkills/Abilities:\nUnderstanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse; appreciation for the behavioral, psychological, physical and social effects of drug abuse.\nExcellent organization, leadership and time management skill.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to multi task.\nKnowledge of contractual requirements of ISUDTP is essential.\nExcellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.\nOperational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.\nAbility to maintain sensitivity and objectivity under pressures generated by association with substance abuse treatment participants. \nDemonstrate ethical behavior in order to maintain professional standards and safeguard the participants.\nProtect and maintain program participants’ health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and participant information.\nADA Information:\nPhysical Requirements:\nOccasionally adjusts or moves objects up to 50lbs. in all directions.\nConstantly remains in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.\nRepeats motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers.\nConstantly moves from one work yard to another daily.\nFrequently walks on hard or uneven surfaces. \nRequired to communicate verbally and in written form.\nUses all types of vision, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, to complete daily tasks.\nAssesses the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.\nOccasionally required to climb, bend, stretch, reach or stoop.\nRequired to wear comfortable and location appropriate clothing and shoes.\n\nMental Demands:\nAbility to change directions as a priorities shift.\nAbility to thrive in environment that require the ability to adapt to changing circumstances,\nAbility to cope with occasionally difficult or temperamental students and faculty.
