For more information visit amkor.com.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Technical Program Manager (TPM) works with a team of program managers in conjunction with the account manager and customer service team in all technical aspects of the customer engagement. The TPM is responsible for first-level technical support of the customer, aids in the development of account strategy, and provides critical feedback on Amkor's ability to align to customer packaging needs. These activities can include technical Q&A, design generation, implementation of change notices, audit preparation and participation, resolution of technical issues, technical presentations and factory visits with the customer. Amkor is seeking a qualified individual to join the team in San Jose, CA.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAct as the technical point of contact for the assigned customer accounts\nGuide customer packaging strategies to align with lowest cost; and best performance products to ensure customer product success in their market\nGuide Amkor materials and package development roadmaps of generation products based on customer needs and requirements\nCreate and deliver assembly technology presentations\nCoordinate customer visits for periodic Technical Review Meetings\nManage new product introductions (NPI) with Amkor factory teams\nInitiate customer designs and follow-up (does not include design development)\nDrive orders for tooling and substrates, etc. to ensure timely execution of NPIs of new designs\nResolve technical issues in the areas of packaging, processing, materials and enable faster and more responsive communication between customer and Amkor factory teams\nCreate and analyze DOEs to support customer data gathering needs on new products and simultaneously balancing Amkor resources\nCustomer Quality Support (drive & manage preparation and execution of audits, PCN, 8D follow-up)\nContribute to strategic customer positioning and technical alignment\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related technical field such as Materials Science\nThe Technical Program Manager (TPM) should be knowledgeable in the processes, materials, and applications for semiconductor packaging. A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience is required\nThe ideal candidate should have excellent program management skills, is self driven, proactive, must work with the customer on a daily basis and possess excellent problem solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to communicate in both large and small groups with excellent presentation skills\nMust be flexible to work within both US and Asian business hours\nProficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required\nProficiency with SPC, DOE, FMEA\nMust be proficient in communicating in English\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFluency in the Korean or Vietnamese language is a plus\nType and Amount of Travel:\nBoth domestic and international / 10% to 25% travel\nLocation:\nSan Jose, CA.
