For more information visit amkor.com.\nPosition Summary:\nAmkor Technology Arizona is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical systems for Amkor’s OSAT factory. This includes medium and low-voltage power distribution, emergency power systems, lighting, facility infrastructure and tools hookup. This role ensures reliable, safe, and efficient electrical power delivery to support manufacturing and cleanroom operations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsibilities will evolve throughout the project lifecycle, ranging from design and commissioning to full-scale operations, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to each phase.\nCollaborate with electrical design consultants to ensure system requirements and specifications are met.\nReview electrical drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.\nSupport commissioning activities, including equipment preparation, functional testing, and system validation.\nIdentify and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up phases.\nManage documentation, manuals, and handover processes for electrical systems.\nProvide operational and maintenance support for electrical distribution systems, Arc Flash Studies, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency generators.\nMonitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance programs.\nEnsure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and corporate guidelines.\nPerform system capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities to meet dynamic production demands.\nPartner with operations and maintenance teams to optimize electrical system performance and energy efficiency.\nConduct system evaluations and implement improvements through capital and expense projects.\nMaintain accurate documentation for operational and maintenance procedures.\nApply reliability engineering principles, including FMEA and root cause analysis, to improve system performance.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.\n3+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering (design and operations), preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.\nStrong understanding of power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency power systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.\nFamiliarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam, arc flashy study software.\nStrong analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience in semiconductor facility design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.\nProfessional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions.\nRegularly lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust heavy objects.\nExposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment.\nMust be medically qualified to wear a respirator.\nAbility to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE.\nLocation:\nThis position will be based at the Peoria, AZ site, working from temporary offices during the construction phase and transitioning to the facility upon the start of factory operations.\nAmkor is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
