This role works closely with Sales, customers, Product Management, Segment Specialists, and the Engineering Manager to provide application support, product recommendations, troubleshooting, conveyor design support, and technical guidance.\nThe position is customer-facing and field-oriented, supporting both day-to-day technical requests and strategic growth opportunities, including customer site visits, conveyor surveys, retrofits, competitive conversions, trials, troubleshooting, and technical training.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical and application support across the Conveyor Belting portfolio for Sales, Customer Service, distributors, OEMs, and end users.\nPartner with customers, Sales, and Engineering to assess equipment needs, including new conveyor layouts and retrofits of existing systems.\nRecommend conveyor belting solutions based on application requirements, operating conditions, customer needs, and opportunities to improve performance or reduce operating costs.\nUse technical expertise to demonstrate how recommended solutions meet customer requirements and differentiate from competing products.\nSupport strategic customer projects and competitive conversions through technical review, product recommendations, application validation, and field support.\nParticipate in customer site visits, conveyor surveys, product trials, installations, and on-site troubleshooting of installed equipment.\nServe as a technical resource for customer inquiries and application requests, providing timely follow-up and clear recommendations.\nTroubleshoot conveyor and belt performance issues, considering product selection, conveyor design, installation, operating conditions, and maintenance.\nDevelop or modify product specifications, drawings, and technical recommendations as needed to meet customer application requirements.\nPrepare and deliver technical presentations and product/application training for Sales, Customer Service, distributors, customers, and prospects.\nIdentify opportunities to recommend improved materials, products, or conveyor solutions that can increase performance, reduce cost, or improve customer productivity.\nPartner with the Engineering Manager on complex applications, technical escalations, and high-priority customer issues.\nSupport customer quality and product-performance investigations by providing application information, field observations, troubleshooting, and technical input into root-cause analysis.\nPartner with Product Management, R&D, Design Engineering, Operations, and global technical teams to evaluate customer requirements and determine whether products or solutions should be modified or developed.\nSupport R&D and new product development activities through field knowledge, application requirements, testing, and customer validation.\nWork with Regional Segment Specialists and PMMs to support key market, customer, and growth initiatives.\nParticipate in regional and global technical/application knowledge sharing and bring relevant best practices back to the Americas commercial organization.\nProvide field feedback on recurring application challenges, product performance, competitive solutions, and technical needs.\nSupport new product introductions through application validation, customer trials, technical documentation, and training.\nDocument technical requests, recommendations, and project activity using established systems and processes.\nQualifications & Experience\nEducation: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.\nRelevant Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, product support, conveyor systems, or industrial manufacturing.\nDesign Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software preferred.\nSoftware Skills: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar case-management systems is a plus.\nStrong project management, organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple technical requests and customer projects.\nStrong presentation and communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate technical recommendations to internal teams and external customers.\nCustomer-focused with strong follow-through and personal accountability.\nComfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate complex technical issues.\nTravel: Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer site visits, on-site troubleshooting, training, and technical project support.\nLanguages: Spanish proficiency is a plus for supporting the broader Americas region.\nCore Competencies\nTechnical & Analytical Aptitude: Analyze complex application requirements and translate them into practical conveyor belting solutions.\nCustomer-Centric Problem Solving: Understand the customer’s application and recommend solutions that address the actual operating challenge.\nApplication Support: Provide consistent technical guidance from initial product selection through installation and troubleshooting.\nCommercial Mindset: Understand how technical support contributes to customer confidence, competitive conversions, retention, and growth.\nCommunication & Training: Clearly communicate technical information and confidently deliver product and application training.\nCollaboration: Work effectively with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Segment Specialists, Customer Service, R&D, Operations, and global technical teams.\nOwnership & Follow-Through: Take responsibility for technical requests and projects through resolution.\nSalary Range - $70000-$75000\nWork Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
