systems, learning cross-platform infrastructure, and building foundational skills in backend and client-side development.\nYour day-to-day will include:\nDevelop and maintain backend services (Rust) and client-side codebases (Rust, Kotlin, Swift).\n\nContribute to systems that handle high traffic and large volumes of location data.\n\nImprove scalability, reliability, and performance under guidance or independently depending on experience.\n\nCross-Platform Harmony\nEnhance infrastructure supporting iPhone and Android devices, including various OS versions and OEM variants.\n\nCollaborate with iOS and Android engineers to maintain a unified and seamless user experience.\n\nFeature Implementation\nImplement and optimize location data collection using Wi-Fi, network signals, GPS, and Bluetooth.\n\nAdapt to evolving OS updates and privacy standards, balancing accuracy and battery efficiency.\n\nContribute to internal tooling such as analytics dashboards, debugging utilities, and per-user analysis tools.\n\nOperational Excellence\nMonitor system metrics, triage bugs, and proactively address performance issues.\n\nEnsure compliance with privacy regulations and OS requirements.\n\nBuild strong engineering fundamentals in testing, observability, and documentation.\n\nContinuous Learning\nStay up-to-date with emerging technologies, mobile OS changes, and distributed systems best practices.\n\nGrow technical depth and craftsmanship through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on production experience.\n\n Your Skills & Experience Required:\nSolid foundations in low-level programming or backend development.\n\nNice to haves:\nProficiency or strong experience with Rust.\n\nExperience with Kotlin or Swift.\n\nAbility to work across backend and client-side code.\n\nFamiliarity with battery optimization techniques and privacy-aware engineering.\n\nInterest or experience in mobile systems, location technologies, or distributed infrastructure.\n\nExperience with iOS and Android location APIs.\n\nFamiliarity with custom ROMs or reverse engineering.\n\nPrior experience in location services, mobile OS internals, or
