You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, contributing to real-world projects while learning about physical layout, protection & control systems, and industry standards. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering who are curious about the energy industry and eager to learn.\nWhat You'll Do\nAssist in designing physical substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, and control building arrangements.\nSupport the development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.\nHelp prepare design drawings, calculations, and bills of material.\nLearn and apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.\nParticipate in quality reviews and collaborate with engineers to refine designs.\nMaintain project documentation and assist with engineering calculations.\nAttend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.\nWhat You'll Bring\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.\nInterest in learning about substation components and design principles.\nFamiliarity with CAD tools and engineering software is a plus.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship from industry professionals, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to real projects.
