The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.\nAbout this Role\nAs a Geological Engineering Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers to support design and construction activities for large energy infrastructure projects including substations, transmission lines, data centers, and others. You will assist with tasks such as geological site characterization, geologic risk analysis, and subsurface characterization for design of foundations (shallow and deep). This role is primarily office-based, with opportunities for occasional site visits.\nWhat You'll Do\nAssist with desktop-based geologic research, interpreting data collected from a variety of public and private sources.\nAssist with the collection and interpretation data derived from geotechnical characterization programs. \nAssist in geological and geotechnical data processing and data analysis.\nParticipate in developing geologic and geotechnical project documentation.\nCollaborate with structural and geotechnical engineers and construction managers to ensure project goals are met.\nPerform basic research on geologic and geotechnical topics, and prepare reports or presentations as needed.\nAttend team meetings and learn about design-build (DB) and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery methods.\nWhat You'll Bring\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with a focus on structural design.\nCompleted coursework in civil engineering fundamentals (e.g., geotechnical, structures, concrete, steel).\nFamiliarity with structural modeling software such as LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, etc.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively and take direction from senior engineers.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship from industry professionals, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to real projects.
