Quanta’s focus on the utility industry and HBK’s focus on constructability in our designs has made our integration into the Quanta family of companies seamless.\nAbout this Role\nA Senior Structural Licensed Professional Engineer HBK Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Licensed Professional Engineer with a PE License in multiple jurisdictions or the ability to obtain them. The individual will function as Engineer of Record and oversee the technical execution of projects in various states. Working with a team of engineers and designers, the primary focus will be on structural and geotechnical utility infrastructure designs to support HBK's rapidly expanding service offerings across power, renewables, telecom, gas and municipal engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will drive client success through project execution, contributing to the growth and excellence of our organization.\nThe Senior Structural Licensed Professional Engineer will provide technical oversight and day-to-day management for structural and geotechnical engineering projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical aspects of our work, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.\nOur Structural Team’s service offerings include but are not limited to design of permanent and temporary structures such as poles, manholes, vaults, solar panel canopies and earth retention systems. Foundation work includes the design of slabs-on-grade, retaining walls shallow and deep foundations (i.e. micropiles, driven and helical piles) for various types of electrical, mechanical, solar equipment and structures. Field verification of existing conditions and to obtain as-built information may be required depending on project requirements. HBK projects span the entire country and our team is growing to support the increasing demand for our services.Work Locations: Chicago IL, Philadelphia PA, Houston, TX, Denver CO, Norristown, PA, Lake Mary, FL, Iowa City, IA\nWhat You'll Do\nTechnical Responsibilities\nWork on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering and construction-related issues.\nPrepare technical memos, reports, construction specifications, and other written documentation.\nRead and interpret drawings, calculations, schematics, and reports.\nApply engineering theories, techniques, and analysis to structural and geotechnical engineering designs.\nWork on new and existing wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures.\nWork on building foundations; deep shaft and trench excavation, temporary and permanent earth retention.\nConduct structural investigations, field inspections, and engineering analysis.\nPerform conceptual and value engineering with emphasis on constructability issues.\nPerform engineer-of-record responsibilities, including stamping and sealing drawings as required\nProject Execution and Quality Assurance\nEnsure the highest quality deliverables to our clients.\nIdentify project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.\nAssist project managers in development and monitoring of project execution plans to reconcile scope and schedule constraints and ensure project success.\nWork cross-functionally with other business departments to align design activities and deliverables.\nTake ultimate responsibility for ensuring client deliverables meet the highest standards\nLeadership and Team Management\nLead a project team consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel.\nCoach, mentor, and lead team members. Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on civil / structural / geotechnical engineering required.\n10+ years’ experience in structural and/or geotechnical engineering required.\nProfessional Engineering Licensure\nNCEES Records account or ability to obtain one\nLicensed Professional Structural Engineer or the ability to obtain one via reciprocity required.
