In this role, you will do more than teach skills - you will build confidence, elevate performance, and develop skilled lineworkers who represent NorthStar with pride in the field. You will deliver hands-on field and classroom instruction for apprentice and journey-level lineworkers, uphold the integrity of our training standards, and serve as a mentor who inspires trainees to grow and succeed in their craft.\nWhat You'll Do\nConduct field and classroom training for apprentice and journey-level lineworkers.\nPrepare, update, and maintain training materials and curriculum to support knowledge and skill development.\nIdentify training gaps and recommend innovative approaches - new materials, methodologies, and activities - to enhance the learning experience.\nEvaluate trainee performance against program objectives and provide feedback to leadership.\nMaintain a working knowledge of all training programs and stay current on industry best practices and regulations.\nCollaborate with leadership and safety teams on the continuous improvement of training programs.\nServe as a mentor by encouraging and inspiring trainees and co-workers, and by contributing to a positive, respectful work environment.\nUphold the integrity of company training standards, curriculum, and expectations.\nTravel as needed to support training across company job sites and locations.\nCommit to advancing through any additional required training or certifications.\nWhat You'll Bring\nA passion for training, with the ability to teach effectively to audiences with varying levels of expertise.\nStrong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and other industry safety regulations.\nWorking knowledge of educational theory and industry best practices in training delivery.\nProficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software and training systems quickly.\nPhysical ability to work in a classroom or field setting, including standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 65 lbs.\nStamina to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and noise.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nJourney-level Lineworker certificate or equivalent required. \nBilingual (English-Spanish) is strongly preferred. \nTraining experience with craftworkers or safety-professional audiences, from pre-apprentice to journey-level, preferred.\nAbility to travel as needed to support training at company job sites and locations, and to relocate if required by the assigned location or territory.\nEDUCATIONAL / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nJourneyman Lineman license or certification required (certificate of completion of a formalized apprenticeship program; documentation required).\nAbility to climb, CPR, and First Aid required (can be obtained post start); OSHA 10/30-Hour certification or OSHA-authorized trainer status is a plus.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs a NorthStar Energy Solutions employee, you will have access to a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support you and your family, including:\n401(k) plan with immediate employer matching and vesting.\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with your choice of PPO, HSA, or FSA plans.\nShort-term and long-term disability insurance.\nEmployee discounts on everyday purchases, including travel, electronics, entertainment, and more.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
