Visit ampamericas.com.\nPosition Summary\nThe Project & Process Engineer combines process engineering, continuous improvement, and project execution. The long-term focus of the position will be to identify, develop, and implement opportunities that improve the performance, reliability, efficiency, safety, and economics of our biogas facilities. At the same time, the engineer will be responsible for delivering small modifications, improvement projects, and selected capital projects from concept through commissioning.\nThis is an ideal position for an engineer who enjoys moving between the plant floor and engineering office, identifying practical problems, developing solutions, and making sure those solutions are successfully implemented.\nKey Responsibilities\nContinuous Improvement & Process Engineering\nIdentify opportunities to improve plant process performance, energy efficiency, reliability, uptime, operating costs, and environmental performance.\nAnalyze operational data, process performance, equipment behavior, and recurring plant issues to identify improvement opportunities.\nDevelop and evaluate improvement concepts, including technical feasibility, expected benefits, risks, and estimated cost.\nLead or support root-cause analysis of process and operational problems.\nDevelop process calculations, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, process descriptions, and technical specifications as required.\nWork closely with operations and maintenance teams to identify practical improvements and ensure solutions address the underlying operational need.\nEstablish and track KPIs to demonstrate the impact of implemented improvements.\nMaintain an improvement pipeline and help prioritize opportunities based on value, risk, and ease of implementation.\n\nProject Development & Execution\nLead the execution of small modifications and improvement projects, from initial scope definition through commissioning and closeout.\nTranslate operational needs into clear project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.\nCoordinate engineering, procurement, contractors, vendors, operations, and maintenance resources.\nDevelop or manage engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, layouts, calculations, and technical documentation.\nSupport equipment and vendor selection and manage technical interfaces with suppliers.\nManage project cost, schedule, scope, quality, and safety.\nParticipate in construction, installation, commissioning, startup, and performance verification.\nEnsure completed projects are properly documented and handed over to operations and maintenance.\n\nBiogas Plant & Technical Support\nDevelop a strong understanding of the company's biogas processes, technologies, equipment, and operating philosophy.\nProvide technical support to operating facilities and development projects.\nTroubleshoot process and equipment issues and develop practical corrective actions.\nSupport process safety reviews, management of change, HAZOP/HAZID activities, and other risk-management processes.\nIdentify opportunities for standardization and replication of successful improvements across the company's biogas portfolio.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nApproximately 3-8 years of relevant engineering or project experience, preferably in biogas, anaerobic digestion, wastewater, renewable energy, chemical processing, industrial utilities, or a similar process industry.\nExperience taking projects from concept through implementation and commissioning.\nStrong process engineering fundamentals, including ability to perform engineering calculations and evaluate process alternatives.\nExperience working with PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and engineering documentation.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot operational problems and develop practical engineering solutions.\nExperience managing contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants is preferred.\nFamiliarity with process safety, MOC, risk assessment, and industrial safety practices is preferred.\nExperience with biogas, anaerobic digestion, gas treatment/upgrading, CHP, digestate handling, or related technologies is a strong advantage.\nWhat We Offer\nCompensation package commensurate with experience including relocation assistance (if applicable), and significant productivity pay and equity.\nComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.\nPaid time off and paid company holidays\nOpportunity to build upon your career in a company on the cutting edge of the RNG industry.\nBase Salary Range: $103,500 - $126,500\nDisclaimer: This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position, and the duties and responsibilities may change without notice.
