This role is responsible for assembling mechanical subassemblies and completing final unit builds with a strong focus on quality and precision.\nThe associate will follow established production processes, safety requirements, and quality standards while meeting defined production schedules. This is a highly hands on position requiring attention to detail and the ability to work with complex electromechanical systems.\nOn-the-job training will be provided to develop the skills needed to build advanced hardware safely and efficiently. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical work and contributing directly to cutting edge hardware development.\nResponsibilities\nAssemble mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies and final solid state transformer units according to work instructions and engineering drawings\nExecute daily production tasks in alignment with established production schedules and build priorities\nFollow all quality control procedures to ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements\nAdhere strictly to safety policies, EHS guidelines, and proper use of PPE at all times\nPerform material handling activities required to support assembly operations, including receiving, unpacking, staging, and moving materials using pallet jacks or other approved equipment\nPrepare and package finished products and prepare units for internal transfer or shipment as required\nAccurately complete production documentation, build records, and time or quantity tracking logs\nParticipate in required training to develop skills for safely building complex solid state power hardware\nSupport quality investigations by identifying defects, documenting issues, and assisting with root cause analysis when needed\nMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S or similar standards\nCommunicate clearly with supervisors, engineers, and team members regarding build status, issues, or material needs\nQualifications\nAbility to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods of time\nComfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and industrial equipment\nAbility to read, understand, and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and safety procedures in English\nWillingness and ability to wear required personal protective equipment, PPE, at all times while on the production floor\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards\nAbility to follow schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines\nWillingness to complete required training and adapt to evolving processes and procedures\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and production needs in a fast paced startup environment\nBonus Qualifications\nBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools or power tools safely, training provided as needed\nExperience with hand soldering or electronic assembly, including through hole or basic surface mount components\nForklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts\nRigging or lifting training, including experience moving heavy or oversized equipment safely\nFamiliarity with reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, or assembly documentation\nExperience with quality systems, inspections, or documentation, including travelers, checklists, or build records\nPrior experience working in a startup, pilot line, or low volume production environment\nBasic troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and report build or material issues\nPlease note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week.
