In this role, you identify and address suspect or nonconforming parts, support engineering with process validation and containment activities, perform experiments, collect and analyze data to determine corrective and preventive actions. \nResponsibilities \nLead the completion of quality trials working with engineers and other technicians to support new line validations. \nDrive the creation and maintenance of Quality Instruction documents. \nServe as the on-shift subject matter expert to support production regarding product specifications and criteria that define quality of the product. \nAssist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues, contain parts or products as needed, sort parts for quality requirements. \nSupport root cause issues, best practices, and implementation of corrective actions and countermeasures. \nLead or participate in continuous improvement activities with engineers and external suppliers. \nAnalyze and interpret failure and product data independently, effectively escalating and supporting resolution of defects. \nQualifications \nHigh school diploma. Skilled trades training or degree in electronic, mechanical, quality or equivalent demonstrated on-job experience. \nExperience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. \nExperienced in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA tasks. \nKnowledge basic statistics, lean manufacturing practices, engineering knowledge of GD&T, electronic test, and measurement systems. \nAbility to effectively communicate common issues and defects to leadership and assist with solutions. \nAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment providing production line leadership and guidance. \nAbility to use IT systems such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint. Able to manipulate data in Excel and databases such as SQL. \nExperience with test and metrology equipment such as multimeters, calipers, oscilloscopes, microscopes, etc. \nEssential Physical Demands \nAbility to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day. \nAbility to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain. \nFrequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs. \nFrequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts. \nStoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day. \nClimb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures \nAbility to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing. \nWearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines. \nPlease note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week.
