If that’s how you want to be measured, we would love to speak with you.\nThe Role\nAs a Senior IT Systems Engineer based in our Seattle, WA office, you will own the systems, integrations, and automation that keep Amperity running. You'll engineer our systems, connect them to each other, govern access to our most advanced platforms, and automate away the manual toil that slows people down.\nYou'll take on the hard, ambiguous problems: untangling a data-platform permissions model, building an integration so onboarding runs itself, or deploying a new AI tool for the company. You'll partner closely with the Security, Engineering, & People teams, and share your experience with the rest of the IT team. Strong technical depth, a bias toward automation, and excellent judgment about risk and access are essential.\nInteresting Problems\nBuild integrations and automation that cut manual work across onboarding, provisioning, and reporting, using AI-assisted tooling\nDesign & support the employee identity lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding, SSO, SCIM) alongside the Security & People team\nGovern advanced data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)\nEvaluate, deploy, and administer AI tools, including access, licensing, and usage guardrails\nAdminister the SaaS stack (G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, MDM) & their integrations\nManage the MacOS endpoint fleet and MDM policy\nBuild monitoring and automation to catch issues early and scale IT support\nOwn backup, recovery, and continuity for critical systems\nHandle escalations and stay responsive to employees' day-to-day support needs\nOwn IT documentation, asset and license management, SaaS spend, and vendor relationships\nPartner cross-functionally with Security, HR, GRC, & Engineering.\nSuccess Measures\n Automated Workflow Execution (Relentless to Outcomes ): Build and deploy AI-assisted integrations across employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, provisioning, SCIM, offboarding) to eliminate manual toil, ensuring projects move from design to 100% completion (\"done means done\").\n Employee Enablement & Satisfaction (Play for Each Other): Ensure every team member has seamless access to the exact tools they need through a clear, quick, and frictionless request process-driving tangible ROI by making every employee feel genuinely more efficient because of what IT provides.\n Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Support (Play for Each Other): Partner closely with Security, Engineering, and People teams to resolve shared obstacles immediately, communicating with candor and care while delivering responsive, high-touch escalation support for employees.\n Proactive System Health & Reliability (Relentless to Outcomes): Build automated monitoring, backup/recovery protocols, and MDM policies across the MacOS fleet and critical SaaS tools, catching issues early to ensure infrastructure uptime and measurably move operational metrics.\n Pragmatic AI Deployment (Outside-In, Always): Successfully evaluate, deploy, and administer company-wide AI tools with clear access and usage policies, focusing on tangible efficiency gains rather than hype.\n SaaS Optimization & Asset Stewardship (Outside-in, Always): Maintain clear IT documentation, asset/license management, and vendor relationships, optimizing SaaS spend to ensure organizational resources are directed toward core business priorities.\nAbout You\n5 to 7 years in IT, senior and hands-on, ideally in high-growth SaaS\nHands-on governance for Databricks, Snowflake or cloud infrastructure\nTrack record building integrations and automation\nComfortable leveraging cutting edge AI tools to build efficiently\nExperience deploying and administering AI tools in a business setting\nAdvanced SaaS administration and MacOS/MDM experience\nWorking knowledge of Okta identity workflows (SSO, SCIM, lifecycle)\nExperience with monitoring, backup, and recovery for critical systems\nStrong judgment on risk, access, and least-privilege\nBias for automation; a pragmatic, creative problem-solver\nClear communicator who partners directly with stakeholders\nThrives in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment\nPreferred: relevant certifications (Okta, Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud provider credentials)\nLocation\nSeattle, WA \nAmperity’s work model operates on four in-office days each week and one designated remote workday on Wednesdays. We value the collaboration, connection, and learning that come from working together in person.\nCompensation\nBase Salary: $124,000-$171,000. Individual compensation within this range will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, education/training, geographic location and the level at which you join.
