In this role, you’ll work in person with students while they receive speech therapy from a remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). If you enjoy working with children and helping them stay engaged in learning, we’d love to hear from you!\nJob Highlights:\nLocation: Cheney, WA\nPosition: Paraprofessional - Virtual Speech Therapy E-Helper\nSchedule: Full-time for the 2026-2027 school year\nSetting: In-person, school-based support for virtual speech therapy sessions\nStart Date: ASAP\nPay: $22-$25/hour\nResponsibilities:\nHelp students access and participate in scheduled virtual speech therapy sessions\nSet up devices, headphones, and materials needed for sessions\nAssist with basic technology troubleshooting and communicate connection issues to appropriate staff\nSupport student attention, engagement, and participation under the direction of the remote SLP\nHelp students transition to and from therapy sessions\nPrepare and organize activities and materials as directed by the SLP\nCommunicate observations and student needs to the SLP and school team\nMaintain student confidentiality and help create a safe, supportive learning environment\nQualifications:\nExperience working with children\nMust currently have a secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent (GED)\nMust fulfill one of the three following requirements:Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university\nHave earned an associate degree or higher\nHave passed a state-approved paraeducator assessment, such as the ETS ParaPro test with a score of 455 or higher\n\nComfort using computers, video conferencing platforms, and basic technology\nStrong communication, organization, and teamwork skills\nAbility to follow directions from the supervising SLP and school staff\nExperience supporting students with disabilities preferred\nRight Response or CPI training is a plus\nAbility to complete required district onboarding and background checks\nBenefits:\nPaid Sick Leave\nHealthcare Benefits*\n401(k) with company matching\nW-2 employment with general and professional liability insurance\nReimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and other professional expenses\nMileage reimbursement at IRS rate between school sites\nReferral bonuses\nNo non-compete clauses\nPaid time off for volunteer work and donation matching*\nBenefits apply to 0.8 FTE and above, following a short waiting period.\nWhy Join Ampersand Therapy?\nAmpersand Therapy is a local, women- and therapist-operated company founded by providers who understand what it’s like to work in schools.
