This position supports students at one elementary building and includes an SLP mentor for collaboration and support. You’ll join a school team helping students build communication skills that support learning and connection.\nJob Highlights:\nLocation: Issaquah, WA\n Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)\nSchedule: 1.0 FTE; 8 hours per day, 5 days per week\nSetting: In-person, school-based; one elementary building\nStart Date: Tentatively Monday, October 26, 2026\nEnd Date: January 8, 2027\nCaseload: Approximately 28 students, with the possibility of an increase\nSupport: SLP mentor provided\nTransition: Planned overlap with the returning district SLP beginning January 4 to support a smooth handoff\nAdditional Hours: 20 additional hours to support the delivery of compensatory education minutes\nResponsibilities:\nProvide speech-language services to elementary students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)\nConduct assessments and contribute to evaluations as needed\nDevelop and implement individualized goals addressing students’ communication needs\nTrack student progress and maintain accurate service documentation\nCollaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success\nParticipate in IEP meetings and school team collaboration\nCoordinate with the SLP mentor for guidance and support\nProvide compensatory education services during the additional allotted hours\nCollaborate with the returning district SLP to ensure a smooth transition of services\nQualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology\nActive Washington State SLP license\nWashington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in speech-language pathology\nExperience supporting elementary students preferred\nStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skills\nAbility to manage a caseload, maintain documentation, and meet service timelines\nAvailability for the assignment through January 8, 2027\nAbility to complete required district onboarding and background checks\nBenefits:\nPaid Sick Leave\nHealthcare Benefits*\n401(k) with company matching\nW-2 employment with general and professional liability insurance\nReimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and other professional expenses\nMileage reimbursement at IRS rate between school sites\nReferral bonuses\nNo non-compete clauses\nPaid time off for volunteer work and donation matching*\nBenefits apply to 0.8 FTE and above, following a short waiting period.\nWhy Join Ampersand Therapy?\nAmpersand Therapy is a local, women- and therapist-operated company founded by providers who understand what it’s like to work in schools.
