The position leads maintenance personnel and coordinates repairs, equipment uptime initiatives, contractor activities, facility improvements, and asset reliability programs.\n\nThe Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor supports Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance through execution of facility inspections, corrective actions, preventative maintenance programs, regulatory remediation activities, and equipment safety programs. This role partners with Human Resources, Operations, Quality, and company EHS resources to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.\n\nThe position supports a manufacturing operation that includes Swiss screw machines, CNC milling equipment, air compressor systems, soldering equipment, curing and bake ovens, facility utilities, and related production support equipment.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\n\nMaintenance Leadership & Equipment Reliability\nSupervise and lead maintenance technicians and facility support personnel.\nDevelop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment and facility infrastructure.\nMaintain high levels of equipment uptime and responsiveness to production needs.\nTroubleshoot and coordinate repairs for manufacturing equipment, including:\nDeco 10 Swiss machines\nCNC milling machines\nAir compressor systems\nSoldering equipment\nSmall industrial ovens\nMaterial handling equipment\nFacility electrical and mechanical systems\nCoordinate equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.\nManage outside service providers and maintenance contractors.\nMaintain maintenance records, work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment documentation.\nAdminister CMMS/E-Maintenance software including preventative maintenance schedules, work order prioritization, and closure activities.\nManage tooling and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and support production requirements.\nSupport capital equipment and facility improvement projects.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, productivity, and cost reduction.\nEnsure proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine safety requirements.\n\nFacilities Management\nOversee building systems including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems.\nCoordinate landlord, utility, and contractor activities.\nEnsure facility readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.\nManage facility repairs and infrastructure improvement projects.\nSupport emergency response and business continuity planning.\n\nEHS Compliance Support\nConduct facility safety inspections and audits.\nSupport CAL/OSHA inspections, Fire Department inspections, environmental audits, and customer compliance assessments.\nTrack and complete corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, and incident investigations.\nMaintain safety equipment, emergency response equipment, and facility compliance systems.\nSupport hazardous waste storage areas, chemical management programs, and environmental compliance activities.\nAssist with safety training related to equipment operation, machine guarding, facility safety, and contractor safety.\nParticipate in Safety Committee activities and support site-wide safety initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with applicable OSHA, CAL/OSHA, Fire Code, and environmental requirements as they relate to facility operations and maintenance activities.\n\n*Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*\n\nQUALIFICATIONS \nTo succeed in this job, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential job function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\n\nEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supervising maintenance personnel, contractors, and facility projects.\nStrong knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability practices.\nExperience with CNC machining equipment, Swiss-style machining equipment, or similar manufacturing technologies preferred.\nExperience maintaining industrial utility systems including compressed air, HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire protection systems.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA and CAL/OSHA requirements.\nExperience supporting regulatory inspections and corrective action programs.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.\nAerospace, defense, precision machining, or electronics manufacturing experience preferred.\nAssociate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.\n\nLANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\nConversational in any other language is a plus.\n\nJOB SKILLS\nStrong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems.\nExperience with preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies.\nProficiency with CMMS or maintenance management software.\nAbility to read mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.\nStrong planning, scheduling, and project management skills.\nKnowledge of facility systems and industrial utilities.\nUnderstanding of OSHA, CAL/OSHA, machine guarding, and LOTO requirements.\nStrong leadership and employee development skills.\nEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.\nRoot cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS \nAs part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer.
