For more information, visit Amplify.com.\nCreate an impact by shaping the world of education!\nAmplify is seeking a creative and user-centered Product Design Intern to join our team this summer and help us craft intuitive, visually compelling, and accessible digital experiences for the educators, students, and families who use our innovative educational products. This paid, remote 10-week internship offers the chance to make a real impact on products used by millions of students and teachers.\nIf you're comfortable with user experience design, visual design principles, and human-centered design thinking, and you're genuinely curious about how thoughtful design creates engaging, accessible experiences, this could be a perfect fit for you. The ideal candidates will love digging into complex user problems, bring a collaborative, ask-questions-first energy to your work, and feel excited to help shape experiences that move the needle for K-12 learners.\nThough remote, interns will join a 2-day in-person experience at Amplify HQ in Brooklyn, NY. Throughout the program, interns will engage with Amplify's culture via product demos, team-building activities, and engagement initiatives, plus grow through a virtual speaker series featuring Amplify executives, additional product demos, and dedicated mentorship.\nWhile our summer intern roles are remote positions, interns must be authorized to work in the US, reside in the US for the internship's duration, and be available full-time for the entire program, June 7 - August 13, 2027.\nKey responsibilities may include:\nSupport the end-to-end design process - from initial concept and wireframing through prototyping, user testing, and final design delivery - across Amplify's web and mobile product suite\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and User Research to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, well-crafted design solutions\n\nAssist with the creation and maintenance of design system components, UI patterns, style guides, and interaction specifications to ensure consistency across products\n\nBuild interactive, code-based prototypes (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS) to test design solutions and communicate interaction and motion patterns to engineering\n\nContribute to user research activities including usability testing, user interviews, competitive analysis, and synthesis of research findings into actionable design insights\n\nTrack and organize design feedback, iteration cycles, and project assets to support efficient design workflows and maintain organized design repositories\n\nWhat we can offer you:\nDirect exposure to product design tools, methodologies, and best practices used in EdTech\n\nReal-world design challenges that directly impact the experience of educators, students, and families\n\nCollaboration with Design, Engineering, Research, and Product teams across the organization\n\nContributions to meaningful UX and design improvements in a mission-driven environment\n\nMentorship from industry professionals at the forefront of product design in education technology\n\nExposure to UX Design, UI Design, Interaction Design, Design Systems, Accessibility, User Research, and Front-End/Interaction Development\n\nHands-on training in a fast-paced, agile environment\n\nBasic Qualifications for this Amplify Internship:\nEducation: Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, returning to school in Fall 2027\n\nFull-time availability to participate from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to synthesize information, identify themes, and communicate insights clearly\n\nKnowledge of and interest in the K-12 education technology field\n\nPreferred Qualifications for Product Design Interns:\nWorking knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms\n\nExposure to user research methodologies including usability testing, user interviews, card sorting, or journey mapping\n\nBackground in UX/UI design, interaction design, or visual design through coursework, personal projects, freelance work, or prior internships - a portfolio demonstrating design thinking and process is strongly preferred\n\nInterest in accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design, design systems, motion design, or educational product design\n\nComfort with front-end development concepts and code (HTML/CSS/JS) and design handoff tools to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering teams\n\nAmplify is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
