Your engineering experience and fluency with frontier AI technologies will drive continuous improvements in both the systems we build the way we build them. The sum total of this work will produce meaningful business impact on the way all of Amplitude’s critical business functions operate.\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will:\nDesign and build full-stack apps and tools to solve high-leverage operational use cases across the business\n\nBuild service connectors that enable AI and automation tools to work across business systems\n\nEvolve our tools and processes to increase team velocity, simplify our technical stack and leverage new AI-native approaches\n\nDrive end-to-end reconciliation across financial systems from quote to revenue recognition, enabling cross-system reporting and end-to-end traceability\n\nOwn what you build across the full software development lifecycle\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the role:\n5+ years engineering experience shipping and running production services\n\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field\n\nFull-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, tools and integrations\n\nAn enthusiasm for understanding new business problems, learning unfamiliar systems, delivering improvements and evolving their design incrementally\n\nExperience working with data warehouses and SQL-based systems\n\nAbility to translate business problems to technical solutions and software designs\n\nExperience with frontier AI tooling including harnesses, MCP servers, and agents\n\nCurious and fast-learning across new domains as the work moves with the business\n\nBias for action - comfortable rapidly iterating to turn business problems into prototypes and ultimately solutions\n\nNice to Have\nExperience evaluating LLM systems using eval harnesses, regression suites, and accuracy tracking over time\n\nFamiliarity with dbt, Snowflake, or medallion-style warehouse architecture\n\nFamiliarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Zip, Ramp, or Stripe\n\nPrior work as an internal-tools, solutions, or platform engineer - where your users were internal stakeholders, not just external customers\n\nThis role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.\nBased on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. New York City salary range: $220,000 - $331,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)\nBased on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. California salary range: $198,000 - $299,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)\nBased on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state.
