We distribute fuels and lubricants products from a network of Terminals and Depots across QLD, NSW and WA, operate up to 100 tanker trucks and employ over 170 dedicated employees.\nAbout the role:\nReporting to the APD State Manager, we are currently seeking a Fleet Manager to lead and manage our Sydney Heavy Vehicle fleet based in Silverwater. You will be accountable for overseeing all heavy vehicles, drivers and related assets including their operation, manage customer relationships, maintenance and ensuring compliance requirements are met. In addition, ensuring that the Fleet operates safely, profitably and efficient while meeting the expectations of our customers.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for the next challenge, who enjoys working in a fast-paced complex environment and is results orientated.\nKey responsibilities\nOversee the day-to-day operation of the Ampol petroleum tanker truck fleet operations\n\nLead, coach and develop a large team of tanker drivers, schedulers and coordinators.\n\nResponsible for the financial and statuary performance of the Fleet\n\nOversee the scheduling of bulk tanker and onsite refuelling operations to meet customer expectations\n\nDrive and manage strong customer relationships across all levels of the operation.\n\nPartner effectively with key stakeholders and leadership to deliver business plans.\n\nResponsible for safe work practices and ensure Ampol is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations\n\nAbout you:\nYou are a natural leader with a proven capability to simultaneously balance operational and commercial outcomes.\nYou are a versatile, self-motivated and disciplined in your approach. Your diverse communications skills combined with your understanding of complex operational environments enable you to thrive in this position and achieve positive business excellence, customer satisfaction and outcomes.\nYou thrive in problem solving and having a high commitment to safety, compliance and efficient focus and understand the important of these factors in operating a quality business.\nKey skills and experience:\nPrevious experience in heavy vehicle fleet management and/or industry experience is a desirable.\n\nPeople leadership, and well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nExperience in Petroleum, Chemicals, Dangerous Goods or Hazardous industries is desirable.\n\nAccountabilities for operational budgets and financial performance.\n\nDeliver customer service and customer satisfaction.\n\nPractical working knowledge of heavy vehicle transport operations or logistics.\n\nTertiary qualification in Business, Logistics and/or Marketing is desirable\n\nOur Benefits\nOur total remuneration is competitive.
